month. Kids are dismissed to SPROUTS following the Children’s
Moment. No pre-registration is required.
Need a quiet spot to calm a young one? The Parlor is open during

Announcements Today is Confirmation Sunday! Confirmation will take place dur-
ing our second service at 11:15. Everyone is invited to a celebratory
reception with cake in Fellowship Hall after second service. Learn
more about the members of this year’s confirmation class in today’s
bulletin insert.
3C’s Liberia Mission Potluck This Evening. Come share a time of
celebration and potluck dinner in our Fellowship Hall from 5 - 8 pm
and hear the latest news from Kathy and Danny Dickriede, recently
returned from Liberia. We’ll be joined by people from all over the
East Ohio Conference to learn about Ganta Hospital, Farmer to
Farmer and Camphor Mission - and to talk about possible mission
trips as the Ebola crisis ends. All are welcome: those who have been
to Liberia, those who hope to go, and those who are simply interest-
ed in learning more about Liberia and sharing a meal.
Church Membership Classes Begin Today at 10 am and will meet
again on May 31 at 11 am. New Member Sunday is June 7. If you
would like to explore church membership or learn more about what

You’re Invited to a Spring Salad Potluck sponsored by Parma-
Southwest District of Church Women United on May 19 at Parma
South Presbyterian Church at noon. Bring a salad, a friend, and $3
for the coffers of this group and enjoy a delicious salad lunch and a
program about a Civil War midwife who fights the medical establish-

Evening Circle Meeting, May 20. This month’s meeting has been
moved to Wednesday, May 20 and will feature a special speaker,
Barb Toman, sharing her experience as the mother of a transgender
child. Would you like to better understand what it means to be
transgender? Come to the Parlor at 7 pm. All are welcome!
Russia Volunteers in Mission. Volunteers from our church and the
East Ohio Conference are traveling to an orphanage in Russia as part
of the Russia Initiative to foster rebirth of the Methodist Church
across that country. Our church has been asked to bring small gift
bag items for boys and girls ages 5-18. Donations of “dollar store”
items that would fit in the small gift bags we give each student are
needed by Sunday, May 24. Look for the box marked Russia VIM in
the coat room outside Fellowship Hall!

Open Table Service, Meeting tonight at First United Methodist of
Oberlin. The 5 pm worship and communion service honors full
inclusion of all of God’s children in our church. Inspirational message
by Rev. Bruce Bachelor-Glader of Port Clinton UMC. Annual Confer-
ence Rally from 3-5 pm: discussion of General Conference candidates,
resolutions, strategies and the work of justice-making this sum-
mer. Dinner at 6 pm. Child Care is provided from 3 to 6 pm!

day, Sunday, May 24 after the 11:15 service in Fellowship Hall.

your garage? This summer, we’re rounding up bikes to refurbish and
