In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters, Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. Word became flesh…

he gave up his place with God and made himself nothing.He was born as a man and became like a servant

….and dwelt among us.

And when he was living as a man, he humbled himself and was fully obedient to God, even when that caused his death—death on a cross.

“…the idea of God becoming like one of us was/is totally incomprehensible…”

According to scripture the Jesus story doesn’t begin in Bethlehem or Nazareth.

It begins in eternity past, when the Word (Jesus in His pre-incarnate state) “was with God, and…was God”Lenard Sweet

The Word became flesh,

And dwelt among us,

And we saw his glory,

Glory as the only begotten for the Father,

Full of grace and truth
