Framed by rugged mountains and set across 650 acres of beautiful Central Otago countryside, Millbrook Resort is made for romance.

With a unique landscape of green fairways, gentle streams and rolling hills, Millbrook Resort offers a backdrop that cannot be recreated. The rustic remains of old stone barns, horse drawn carts and wagon wheels spread across the grounds make a beautiful setting for your wedding photos. Just a 20 minute drive from Queenstown, and two minutes from historic Arrowtown, Millbrook Resort is conveniently close to everything, yet feels like a world away.

GETTING HEREWe offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from central Queenstown and Arrowtown for guests. We can arrange group and airport transfers for you, we just need 48 hours advance notice. Pricing will vary depending on group size.

Queenstown International Airport has daily domestic and Australian flights with Air New Zealand, Qantas and Jetstar. Daily domestic connections from New Zealand’s main centres: Auckland (90 minutes), Wellington (90 minutes) and Christchurch (50 minutes). Queenstown Airport is located 15kms away, approximately 20 minutes drive from Millbrook Resort.

BY ROAD

Access by road is a wonderfully scenic option. Queenstown is located approximately 6 hours drive from Christchurch, 3 ½ hours drive from Dunedin, 2 ½ hours from Invercargill and 4–6 hours from the West Coast.

PÉTANQUE COURT

Located beside the Mill Pond and framed by greenery, the pétanque court is a picturesque location for your outdoor ceremony. Enjoy the backdrop of the Millhouse Restaurant and the rustic stone shed that is Smithy’s Smoke House.

The pétanque court comfortably seats 60 guests, with plentiful standing room to accommodate up to 140 guests.

THE SECRET GARDEN

Hidden behind The Clubhouse, this private garden overlooks the winding stream and out toward the Coronet Nine fairways. An intimate setting which can seat 40 guests and comfortably accommodate 80 with standing room. The Secret Garden is a beautiful and tranquil location for your outdoor ceremony.

Have you considered a winter wedding? At Millbrook Resort this means being

surrounded by beautiful snow capped peaks and romantic intimate venues

with open fires roaring. Many couples make the most of the winter scenery by helicoptering to the peaks of the mountains for magical photographs

surrounded by snow, or take the time to stay for a few days with friends and

families to ski one of the three mountains within an hours distance from the resort.



THE CLUBHOUSEThis rustic stone building is a truly romantic space with ornate chandeliers, open fires and wooden beams running along the ceilings. Bifold doors open out to a beautiful courtyard overlooking the golf course, perfect for drinks and canapés on warm summer evenings. The outdoor open fire and wall heaters create a warm ambience during the cooler months. Inside, two mezzanine levels create extra space for you and your guests, and the high ceilings are perfect for acoustics and live music. Further features include a secret rose garden, audio visual system, and a covered marquee extension available for hire.

THE MILLHOUSE CONFERENCE CENTREA truly iconic space and a piece of Millbrook Resort history, the Conference Centre has been restored in the style of the original estate’s wheat mill, with beautiful stonework, wood façades, and a working water wheel. Wooden shutters open out to views across the Mill Pond, and the high wooden ceilings create a spacious atmosphere while keeping an intimate and romantic feel. FAQ’S & HOW TO BOOK

What is included in the venue hire?Please refer to page 19.

Can we get different colours for linen/sashes? Is there an extra cost?Yes these can be arranged with an external supplier via the event coordinators, costs vary depending on your specific requirements.

What does a Millbrook Resort Event Coordinator include? Do I need an wedding and event planner?Your Millbrook Resort Event coordinator can be as involved as you would like them to be. An outside wedding planner can be useful for overseas guests however our Events Team can do everything a wedding planner can do.

Do you have a bridal suite?We don’t have a specific bridal suite, however the bridal couple are offered a complimentary One Bedroom Suite inclusive of breakfast for the night of the wedding. If you would prefer another room type you can book another, but this is at your own cost.

Do we get anything for free? Comp spa treatment/round of golf, etc.?We can offer discounted rates in our Spa and Golf, subject to availability.

Is BYO an option?We do not offer BYO.

What time can we stay in the Hole In One until?2.30am.

Can we stop the players during the ceremony on the pétanque court?No, play cannot be stopped, most golfers are kind enough to pause their game whilst the ceremony takes place.

How much is the deposit?The full wedding package.

What is your wet weather contingency plan for outdoor spaces?This is dependent on final numbers, the event coordinators can advise.

When can we have access to the room to setup?This is dependent on any functions prior to the wedding day.

Have you got a helipad?Yes. Please note daily heli movements are limited on the resort due to airspace rules.

What is the food and beverage cost per person? Is there a service charge?Costs range from $85-$120 per guest and are dependent on the final menu choices.

Can we do a food tasting prior to finalising our menu? If so, is there an additional charge?Yes you may, this can be organised with your wedding & event coordinator, and is of no extra cost. Note it is based on 2 people only, additional guest tastings are charged.

Can the venue accommodate a DJ or live band?Yes, both.

What time must the music end?All music must end at midnight. The Hole In One can be requested as a late drinks venue at no extra cost, but note it cannot be hired exclusively.

Do you offer help with any aspects of wedding planning? i.e. bands/décorYes, we have a great list of suppliers we can share with you to help with ideas and planning.

Can we have hair and makeup done in our room?Yes.

Can we bring our own hairdresser and makeup artist and still use the spa? What is the cost?Yes, but it will need to be done in the accommodation that is booked.

What options are there for a post wedding brunch?We can do a BBQ/brunch, private dinner in a property or look at our venues on-site.

How much does it cost to hire golf carts to use when we are taking bridal party photos?$35.00 per cart.

As we will be away to take photos, are we going to miss out on canapés?Not at all, we will prepare a hamper for you to enjoy during your photos.

Roughly how much does it cost for a wedding at Millbrook Resort?It depends on whether you are having the ceremony here, the reception dinner and how many guests you would like to invite. Please contact us for more information.

Can I have the ceremony elsewhere but still have the reception dinner at millbrook?Of course!

Do prices include GST?All prices include GST.

Are there any further costs?Further costs can be incurred if any damage is made to Millbrook Resort property. These will be added the day following the wedding when final payment is due.

Do you have a list of recommended suppliers?We have a great list of suppliers we work with in the area we can recommend, such as photographers, bands, hire companies and helicopter operators.
