1 John 2:3-6 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His

truth is not in him. (5) But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of

God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. (6) He who says he abides in Him ought himself

also to walk just as He walked.

BLESSINGS IN CHRIST

A. All spiritual blessings are in Christ.

B. The only way the bible tells us to get into Christ is through baptism. (Rom 6:3, Gal 3:27)

C. Along with spiritual blessings comes responsibility.

I. A WAY OF LIFE

A. 1 John 2:3-6 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. (4) He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (5) But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. (6) He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

B. Colossians 2:6 As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

II. FAITH AND LOVE

A. FAITH AND LOVE - Colossians 1:4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints;

B. FAITH AND LOVE - 1 Timothy 1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.

C. FAITH AND LOVE - 2 Timothy 1:13 Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.

II. FAITH AND LOVE D. WORKING FAITH - Galatians 5:6 For in

Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.

E. BOLD FAITH - 1 Timothy 3:13 For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

F. STEDFAST FAITH - Colossians 2:5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

II. FAITH AND LOVE G. TRUSTING FAITH - Ephesians 1:12-14 that we who

first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. (13) In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, (14) who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

H. SHARING FAITH - Philemon 1:4-6 I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, (5) hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, (6) that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

III. NEW CREATION

A. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

B. NEW CREATION - Galatians 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation.

IV. REJOICING

Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,

V. THANKFULNESS

1 Thessalonians 5:18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

VI. CONSOLATION / COMFORT / FELLOWSHIP

Philippians 2:1-4 Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, (2) fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. (3) Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. (4) Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

VII. UNITY

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
