Builders has completed

more than 2,000 projects

throughout California,

including hundreds of

office, industrial, retail, restaurant,

medical, education and specialty projects.

Headquartered in Sacramento — with a

branch in Nashville, Tennessee — its work

has helped shape the city for more than

30 years, and one of its newest projects

will give the region a new Program of All-

Inclusive Care for the Elderly facility.

The PACE center project, consisting of

50,000 square feet on 5 acres, improves the

area by restoring and upgrading an existing

building and site. It adds new features

such as an entry tower with connected bus

canopy, a full-service kitchen and dining

areas, and an interior feature known as a

“wanderloop” so participants can meander

safely through the facility.

“As a commercial design-build firm, we

managed the design, including permitting

and the (conditional use permit),” says

Mike Cimorelli, president. “PACE centers

have strict inspections and preset opening

dates, so our team and partners, including

the owner’s architects, must be exacting

and proactive to mitigate scheduling

risks yet flexible enough to design around

unforeseen conditions.”

The InnovAge PACE center, a partnership

with Adventist Health and Eskaton Senior

Care Services, will employ more than 200

full-time employees and provide care for

more than 1,000 participants. The unique

PACE service model provides services

to frail seniors under one roof including

a primary care clinic, social services,

physical and occupational therapies,

recreational therapy, clinical exercise

programs, dental services, nutritional

counseling, meals, and more.

“According to U.S. Census, there will be

nearly 14,000 low-income seniors in the

Sacramento region at risk for nursing-

home placement, and this project directly

addresses the needs of that population,”

says Nick Reali, vice president of

preconstruction. “At TI Builders, we’re

proud to be part of a team making a

difference for some of our area’s most

vulnerable residents.”
