He has helped with our deck and is doing the painting where the Ministry of Education said to leave the wood bare; he put up a shed for our Play Based Team (Pono) that took lots of extra time; he has moved the furniture for the new construction work for Rooms 18 and 19; and he supports a lot of our young boys who are struggling some days with “life” which are all extras to his huge workload. Mr Gow you really are a great caretaker/property manager and we are proud of you and all you do at our School!! Your “Pride” in our school shows!! Thank you from the students and the staff!!! IMPORTANT NOTICE Due to the impending construction work in Rooms 18 and 19, the pre-site inspection has found a small amount of Asbestos behind the walls. Skilled and qualified tradesmen are removing it this coming weekend under precise guidelines. Please do not enter the school grounds this weekend coming (15 and 16 September). If you know of anyone that uses our grounds on the weekend, please warn them and let them know our school grounds are closed.

Construction As the term closes, the new main deck will be completed in the holidays and more work will be underway. This week will see Rooms 18 and 19 move into the library for the last two weeks of the term, as the two rooms are updated. Rimu’s deck will be taken apart in the holidays, and at the start of Term 4, it will be replaced with new Permadeck which has a 0.7 slip resistant surface. In Term 4 we have more work in Room 3 to be completed as well. While it can cause disruption, we do value school improvements.

Toys Staff at Kamo Primary School are seriously concerned about the number of students who are bringing toys and precious goods to school. We wish to stress that the school does not promote this.
