CONSEQUENCES IN SUBSTANCE ABUSE• Tolerance - The body of the abuser begins to
develop tolerance to the drug, needing more and more of it to get the same effect.
• Physiological Dependence - The body develops a chemical need for the drug.
• Withdrawal - When a person stops using a drug, the symptoms that occur include nervousness, insomnia, vomiting, chills, and even death.
• Addiction - Becoming overly dependent on the drug.
