2. After successful completion of six days mandatory training of Clearing Agentsin 1st batch (141) w.e.fOI-II-2017 to 08-11-2017 and 2nd batch (143) w.e.f 13-11-2017 to20-11-2017, the DGTR (Customs), Karachi has planned to commence the training for 3rd

Batch of Customs Clearing Agents from 23rd to 30th November, 2017 (excluding publicholidays) in the Auditorium situated on Ground Floor, DGTR (Customs), Old CustomHouse, Karachi. The list of third batch and schedule are enclosed as (Annex A & B).

3. As already informed that the attendance of participating Customs Agents inthe six days mandatory courses will be administered through Bio-Metric AttendanceMachine. It is therefore requested that all the Customs Agents whose names are mentioned inthe enclosed list may be directed to appear for Bio-Metric Registration and orientation on23rd November, 2017 along with attested copy of License and Original CNIC.Instructions in this regard are also attached for distribution among participating CustomsAgents. (Annex-C)

4. It is further mentioned that according to the Customs Rules, 200 I, thisDirectorate General will entertain only the License Holder Agents (Proprietors/ Partners/Directors) and not their employees/ managers/ representatives in the subject course.

"Instructions for the Participants"

1. The attendance of participating Customs Agents in the upcoming six days mandatorycourse under Rule 99 of the Customs Rules, 2001 will be administered through Bio-Metric Attendance Machine.

2. All the participants of the First Batch of the subject course are required to bring acopy oftheir license along with original CNIC every day during the course.

3. It is further clarified that according to the Customs Rules, 2001, this DirectorateGeneral will allow only the License Holder Agents (Proprietors/ Partners/ Directors)to attend the subject course.

4. No Managers/ or other representatives are allowed to attend the subject course onbehalf of the License Holder Agent. (NO CHANGE OF BATCH WILL BEENTERTAINED).

5. The six days mandatory course, referred to in sub-rule (1) of Rule 99 of CustomsAgents Licensing Rules, shall be conducted with a QUALIFYING BENCHMARKOF AT LEAST NINETY PER CENT ATTENDANCE during the course. TheCustoms Agent who does not fulfill this requirement shall repeat the course on re-payment of the prescribed fee.

6. Attendance will be marked through Bio-Metric Machine Check-in & Check-out(2 times daily).

7. All Customs Agents are required to be seated in the Auditorium at ground floor, ofDGTR (Customs) well in time.

8. Two attendances marked after 15 minutes of the start of every lecture will be treatedas absent for whole day.

9. MOBILE PHONES MUST BE SWITCHED OFF during the entire duration of thecourse. It will be supervised strictly and persons found using mobiles will not beallowed to continue that session and will be marked absent from that session.

10. The entire building of the Directorate General of Training and Research (Customs),Karachi is a "NO SMOKING" area. "CHEWING OF PAN AND GUTKA" is alsoprohibited. Any person found violating the instructions will be struck off from thesession and course certificate will not be issued, besides forwarding his case to theLicense issuing Authority for appropriate action.
