Induction Lighting 101 The basic technology for induction lamps is not new. The principle of Induction was introduced to the world by the scientist Nicola TESLA in the 1890's. TESLA once lit 200 lamps without wires from 25 miles away. Go to our website and see a video on Tesla. Induction lights are similar to fluorescent lights in that they use gasses, which once ‘excited’, react with the phosphor that coats the tubes to produce white light. Unlike fluorescent lamps, induction systems are rated at 100,000 hours. This is because fluorescent lamps must use electrodes, which degrade with time, to ‘excite’ the gasses inside of the tube. Induction Lamps do not use electrodes but instead uses the principle of Induc-tion (the transmission of energy by way of magnetic field). Think of it as wireless lighting. Hard wired control system: If a dimming control system is desired for a large area, such as a office

lobby a hard wired system is needed.

One control can manage 20 hard wired fixtures.

Induction lighting is dimmable and can be used with motion sensors

Induction can be dimmed two ways Remote control or wired for large areas.

Wireless remote control system consist of three parts: a remote

control (signal Transmitter), a signal control receiver to receive

and store commands and a dimming executing unit.

If the remote address code of the induction fixture is present with

the remote unit during the manufacturing process, the remote unit

can only control the dedicated fixture.

If all the fixtures are present with the same remote unit at manu-

facture, then the remote unit can control multiple fixtures. The

total number of units that can be controlled is determined by dis-

tance to the transmitter to 30 meters or 98 feet.

Dimming range is 100% to 50% on all Induction fixtures.

The receiver circuit can memorize the last setting before then lights is turned off and

will recall the last setting upon re-striking.

Induction lighting can be controlled by Motion Sensor two ways: step dimming

or motion sensor

ON/OFF : Induction lighting is automatically turned on whenever movement is detected and will turn

off after a preset time period. The delay can be pre set by the customer’s request.

Step Dimming: the induction fixture reaches full light output whenever movement is detected by the

motion sensor when the induction lamp is dimmed. The dimming range and time delays can be preset

according to the customers requirements.

Because its light output is not significantly influenced by ambient temperature, the induction lamp can start at very low temperatures, maintaining at least 85% of nominal lumens. Induction lighting produces high quality light in a variety of color temperatures. This makes it useful in a multitude of applications while still offering improved effi-ciency. This gives lighting designers more options in their designs. Relatively insensitive to line voltage fluctua-tions, its light output remains constant over a wide range of input voltages. The induction lamp is ideal for indoor and outdoor applications where durability and long life is certainly a high priority. As a compact source, the in-duction lamp can be used in a wide range of fixtures, adding further flexibility for the lighting designer.


Retrofit Kits A retrofit of current fixture allows reuse of existing high wattage fixtures making for a VERY GREEN pro-ject. By relamping with our induction kits will perma-nently reduce lighting costs by over 50% on wattage and untold savings in labor and hardware.

Terms and Conditions of 10 year limited warranty

Innovative Induction Lighting Induction Lighting warrants that our externally Ballasted fixtures, ballasts, and lamps will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ten (10) years or 60,000 hours (whichever comes first) from date of installation or date of manufacture if installation date is unknown. Self Ballasted products are warranted for 5 years from date of instal-lation or date of manufacture if installation date is unknown. Ballasts, lamps, and fixtures demon-strated to be defective within the warranty period will be repaired or replaced at Innovative In-duction Lighting discretion, at no cost provided the fixtures are installed and operated in accor-dance with manufacturer's recommendations. This warranty applies only to the original purchase for fixtures used within the US, Canada, or other countries as specified by Innovative Induction Lighting Induction Lighting. The warranty is non-transferable. Innovative Induction Lighting reserves the right to examine all failed induction lighting systems and reserves the right to be the sole judge as to whether any housing, lamp and/or ballast is de-fective and covered under this warranty. Innovative Induction Lighting Induction Lighting will not be liable for:

• Problems resulting from external causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, mishandling, negli-gence, fire, water damage, theft, vandalism, riot, explosion, natural disaster, or other external causes unrelated to product performance.

• Products for which Innovative Induction Lighting has not yet received full payment.

• Conditions demonstrating misuse, faulty installation, misapplication, extreme environmental conditions beyond those defined in the product specification, under/over voltage situations, lack of compliance with applicable instructions, improper or inadequate maintenance, negligence, acci-dent, or tampering. Note ballast ratings for limits on operating temperatures.

• Situations in which Innovative Induction Lighting lamps and/or ballasts are replaced with those from other manufacturers.

• Products not manufactured by Innovative Induction Lighting, this includes sensors and/or additional controls. • Costs for shipping. • Costs for installation. Effective June 29, 2009. Warranty terms and conditions do not pertain to purchases made prior effective date.
