About John Sheridan John Sheridan is the Australian Government Chief Technology Officer and Procurement Coordinator. In this role he is responsible for whole of government ICT services, procurement policy and operations, including: software, telecommunications procurement and networks, data centres, desktop hardware, common operating environment, Gov 2.0, and online services. Procurement operations include vehicle fleet, advertising, stationery and office supplies, major office machines, and travel. Aside from his day job, John is the inaugural chair of the ISO/IEC JTC 1 sub-committee on IT Service Management and IT Governance. He was a co-author of the original Australian standard on the governance of IT, the predecessor of ISO/IEC 38500 Governance of IT.
