Purpose:
Promote sharing and use of public domain remotely sensed image data (aerial and satellite platforms) for research, education and applications.
Part of AmericaView Inc.
Indiana Geographic Information Council
AmericaView Purpose
AmericaView is charged with helping the university, secondary-education, and public sectors in each state identify, develop, and distribute the kinds of remote sensing data & applications each state needs most.
There are now 27 state-views. Some are full members (funded) and some are associate or affiliate members.

Search limits option is very helpful to limit the number of scenes being displayed.

Around 3 meter spatial resolution.
11 east-west strips covering south-eastern 2/3 of state (and western portion of Ohio).
Available by mid-April.

SeaSpace TeraScan software allows us to generate products automatically and push to researcher site.
Team with Purdue’s TeraGrid project working on a subscription service to make ndvi, optical depth and radiance modis data for Indiana available for all via web services.
Will develop capability to allow specific data products to be downloaded from the IndianaView GloVis data portal
