technology. This is where a lot of people are confident users of ICT but this is not everybody – some are information excluded.

Computers require electricity….Is this good for the environment? Mankind is over dependent upon computers…..

Some people who live in rural parts Africa might never have seen a computer. Even if they could afford to buy one, they might not have the

electricity to run one or the training in how to use oneor the ability to speak English – which is the predominant language.

The Digital Divide – the information excluded Even in UK those who cannot afford a computer can fall behind others who use computers on a regular basic because they do not have relevant software skills and practice. For instance their children do not get IT skills and cannot use

the Internet to research homework. They are known as information excluded.
