academic career at various capacit ies.Our ChairmanDr.R.Murugesan, former Vice Chancellor at Anna University Muduraiand Former President ISTE New Delhi, has more than 35 years ofservice as an academician in the field of Civil Engineering Ourmission is to provide world class Engineering Education, FosterResearch and Development, evolve Innovative applications oftechnology, encourage entrepreneurship and ultimately mouldyoung men and women capable of becoming leaders of the societyfor the betterment of our country.

Department of Civil Engineering was established duringthe academic year 2008 with present intake of 144 students. Ourdepartment consists of 30 experienced faculty members and wehave an impeccable internal infrastructure and lab facilities lead byEr. N. Nagarajan, Professor and Head, Ranganathan EngineeringCollege. Under the guidance of Our Chairman Dr.R.Murugesan,Student Mentoring Programs have been conducted since theacademic year 2012-2013. It is a unique program organized bydepartment of civil engineering in association with ACCE(I) andwith the purpose of providing practical industrial exposures in

various fields of Civil Engineering to study and convert them asqualified Engineers to fulfill the needs of industries. Presently twomonth internship program organized to all the final year CivilEngineering students with the aim of providing practicalexperience and to do an innovative project. We have also joinedhands with Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (I), BuildersAssociation of India, Coimbatore chapter, Grace Technologies (UK)for betterment of civil students.

International Conference on Concrete Vision for Humanitywill be held on 18th and 19th of March 2016 at Coimbatore, TamilNadu. The aim of the Conference is to provide a platform forResearchers, Engineers, Academicians and Industrial Professionalsto learn opportunities on the latest advances, knowledge, research,tools and solutions for sustainable concrete manufacturing, designand construction. Engineers, architects, government officials,researchers, academicians, students, contractors, and industrialprofessionals are invited to share their knowledge. We hope this conference can serve a better platform forfurther development to understand and enhance the knowledge inthe concept of concrete technology in Civil Engineering and its

relevant areas.

Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) wasformed and registered in 1985 by a group of Consulting CivilEngineers in Bangalore. The main object of the associationis to encourage and foster the ideals of the profession, tohold conferences/meetings/seminars for dissemination ofknowledge amongst the civil engineers in particular and thesociety at large. ACCE (I) with its head quarters atBangalore, has since grown into a National Association withcentres formed all over India including Ahmedabad,Bangalore, Bidar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Davangere,

Dharwad, Hyderabad, Indore, Karimnagar, Mangalore,Madurai, Mysore, Nagpur, Nashik, Vishakapatnam.
