Preface

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager is a client/server program that provides storagemanagement services to customers in a multivendor computer environment. TivoliStorage Manager provides an automated, centrally scheduled, policy-managedbackup, archive, and space management facility for file servers and workstations.

This publication contains explanations and suggested actions for messages issuedby the Tivoli Storage Manager server program for storage management services,the administrative client graphical user interface, administrative command lineclient, backup-archive client, API, HSM, and Data Protection products.

Messages Not Appearing in This PublicationMessage numbers in the range ANR01000120, and any with 9999 are notpublished in this manual. They are considered severe errors and should berecorded and included in a problem report when contacting the servicerepresentative.

Message number ANR7831I and numbers in the range ANR79008199 are AS/400

platformspecific messages and are not published in this manual. You can obtainthe explanation for these messages using AS/400 commands such as WRKMSGDto get to the "Work with Message Descriptions" panel.
