Hello Parents and Supporters of IAH!
My science classes are super awesome! I enjoy
teaching my students all about science. My students
are intelligent, funny, and have a huge appetite for
knowledge. This school year we have learned so
much and we want to share what we have learned
by inviting you to our 2015 IAH Science Fair on
January 27th and January 28th! The science fair
time frame is from 9-1. The students and I have
been working diligently to ensure that the projects
are interesting and informative. Please show your
support by attending the 2015 IAH Science Fair!
My students would really like to see your faces!
Sincerely,
Ms. Steele

Science meets Math with
Character Education
What is Character Education?
Character Education is the building of student’s character. Also, “Character Education”
is a term to describe the teaching of children in a manner that will help them develop
characteristics that will serve them well morally, enforce good manners, good behavior,
non-bullying, great work ethic, compliance, and socially acceptable beings.
In the spirit of “Character Education”, Mrs. League started a tradition in our classroom
by writing a positive trait that students should exhibit. I saw how the word of the week
had a huge impact on our students. Mrs. League and I (Ms. Steele) have partnered
together to make sure that students reflect and model the word of the week.
The word of the week is TENACIOUS! Mrs. League, Mrs. Reynolds, and I encourage
our students to be tenacious in everything that they do and never give up. The sky is the
Orion Space Launch

On December 15, 2014, the IAH Middle School went to
the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center to view the
launching of the Orion space shuttle. The space shuttle
planned to lift off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Sta-
tion in Florida. The Orion spacecraft was set to orbit
Earth twice, reaching an altitude of approximately 3,600
miles above Earth before landing in the Pacific Ocean.
No one was aboard Orion for this flight test, but the
spacecraft was designed to allow astronauts to journey
to destinations never before visited by humans, including
an asteroid and Mars.

The students of IAH recreated famous people in the Muslim
community. The students told important facts and created
important scenes in the famous
people’s lives.
IAH Student Council
Student Council has started off great! The new members have
started a snack shop to raise money for the school and student
council activities. Student Council sets up on Fridays during lunch.
Please support your local student council!
