The i20 Series II is packed with Hyundai’s best features, such as automatic headlights, parking sensors, reversing camera, touch screen multimedia, keyless entry, Bluetooth handsfree and more.

But it’s the i20’s compact characteristics that make it a real winner. It’s perfect for driving around town and so easy to park. A 1.4 litre petrol engine with a clever automatic transmission offers responsive performance, as well as fuel efficiency.

Best of all, with a sizeable luggage space of 301 litres and 60:40 rear folding seats - there’s a surprising amount of room.

Designed and Built in Europe: The i20 Series II is European through and through. Created at the Hyundai Design Studio in Russelsheim Germany, the latest Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy exudes class. In addition, the i20 is manufactured at Hyundai’s state of the art factory in Izmit Turkey, to precise standards.

Alloy Wheels: Stylish and durable alloy wheels ensure that your i20 will never go unnoticed. Modern 15” alloy wheels come fitted with high quality tyres ensuring maximum style and safety. The i20 also features a temporary spare wheel and tyre for added reassurance.

Aerodynamic Design: The refined appearance of the i20 Series II is emphasised by its long hood, low roofline and sharp crease line. Combined this achieves a more streamlined vehicle lowering the car’s aerodynamic drag figure to 0.30 Cd.

60:40 Split Foldable Rear Seats: Whether you need to transport passengers and their belongings, or you have some gardening supplies to pick up, 60:40 split foldable rear seats make it easy to configure the seating and boot space to carry as much as possible.

One of the most clever things about the i20 Series II is its spacious interior.

Once inside, you forget that you’re driving a compact vehicle. Generous legroom in the front and back combined with an ergonomically designed dashboard, create a real sense of luxury and space. This feeling of comfort - which

you’d expect from a larger vehicle - is enhanced by a stylish interior with strong European influences, including soft-touch interior trims and fabrics .

High Grade Materials: Developed to discerning European standards, the i20’s high quality interior features extensive use of high-grade Thermoplastic Olefin material, to ensure soft-to-the-touch surfaces and increased durability. The use of silver trim also elevates the ambience of the interior.

Ergonomically Excellent: The i20’s cabin has been designed with ergonomics in mind. This includes a dashboard tilted 5 degrees towards the driver to improve practicality and ease of use, whilst still looking asymmetrical to the passengers. Important controls are close to hand whilst rear visibility is excellent thanks to intuitive design.

Interior Space: The i20 Series II may be compact, but in terms of space, it’s comparable to cars of a size class above. Passengers can stretch out with class-leading legroom of 1,892mm and there’s plenty of room for carrying their gear too with a generous 301 litre boot.

Fingertip Controls:The i20’s multi-functional steering wheel puts everything you need at your fingertips. You can operate cruise control, manage your music, answer phone calls and listen to your favourite songs all without taking your hands off the wheel.

Child Seat Anchor Points: The i20 is designed to keep Kiwi children as safe as possible with ISOFIX child seat anchor points on the second row outside seats. The i20 also features a deactivation switch for the front passenger airbag if a child seat is required to be used on the front passenger seat.

Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS): Hyundai’s capability to make their own high strength steel alloy is a real benefit, one you won’t notice until you need it. Advanced high strength steel makes up 42% of the body structure, which has increased torsional rigidity by an impressive 81% compared to the outgoing model.

Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC): Hill-start Assist Control does exactly what it says on the tin, preventing backward roll on steep hills and providing a smooth transition as the vehicle pulls away.

Your safety is something we never compromise, which is why the all-new i20 is equipped with a range of the latest technologies to keep you and your passengers as safe as possible. The i20 definitely punches above its weight when it comes to being tough. Reinforced steel, front and rear crumple-zones and doors with side-impact intrusion bars are the foundation of the i20’s strength.

Six Airbags: The i20 comes with a full complement of six airbags, with advanced dual front, side and full length curtain airbags providing all-round protection to you and your passengers.

Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) with Electronic Stability Control (ESC): Designed to help on wet and slippery roads, Vehicle Stability Management works in conjunction with Electronic Stability Control to give the i20 more stability, so you can drive with added confidence on tricky surfaces.

Rear Park Assist: The i20 thinks of everything. To help with parking in tight spots, ultrasonic sensors located at the rear give an audible warning if objects are detected.

Cruise Control with Speed Limiter: Cruise control is ideal for open road driving, allowing you to relax your right foot while maintaining a constant speed. In addition to cruise control, there is also a speed limiter function to help you maintain a consistent safe speed.

Air Conditioning: An advanced air conditioning system is fitted as standard on the i20. With a range of different modes and rear facing air vents located under the front seats the i20 Series II air-conditioning system will keep all occupants comfortable at all times.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

Whether you’re driving around town, or hitting New Zealand’s open roads, the i20 Series II features an automatic 1.4 litre petrol engine that packs a punch. Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) and multi-point fuel injection delivers an exciting 74 kW of power at 6,000 rpm and 134 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. Drive carefree knowing that the engine produces ultra low emissions and is fuel efficient too.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS):TPMS works by having a sensor in each tyre which detects pressure variations. So if a tyre pressure becomes too low, a warning light shows on the dashboard giving you the chance to safely stop before the tyre fails.

Your safety and the safety of your passengers are our number one priority. We can’t vouch for the safety or performance of non-Hyundai parts. They only have to be slightly off or incorrectly installed and the integrity of your vehicle will be compromised.

If the cost of servicing is a concern for you, committing to a pre-paid service contract from day one will cost you less in the long run. You can sign up for these to cover your servicing needs for every service interval, which is every 10,000 / 15,000 km* or yearly (whichever happens first). You can do this for as many years as you want, and they’re available for any Hyundai, no matter how old.
