Resistive heating elements give close controlConsistent and accurate humiditycontrol is offered with resistance heatertechnology. The Condair RS can provide ±3%RHhumidity control with mains water and±1%RH with RO water.

Cold water pool prevents inlet and drain blockagesBy locating the water inlet and drainbetween the twin walls of the outercylinder and inner plastic liner, thetemperature by these orifices is kept ata level that inhibits the formation ofscale. This prevents blockages andfurther enables extended operationalperiods between servicing.

Scale collector tankAn externally located tank under theboiling cylinder collects scale thatdetaches from the heating elementsand plastic liner. It can be drained,removed, emptied of scale andreattached within minutes. Thisextends the periods between majorservices by up to three times.

Large outputs from single unitThe Condair RS is available with asingle cylinder for outputs up to40kg/hr and a double cylinder modelfor outputs up to 80kg/hr. Up to foursingle units can be controlled on amaster/slave configuration for outputsup to 160kg/hr.

Touch screen controlAdvanced user interface offers moredetailed operational control anddiagnostic reporting than ever before. AUSB connection allows performancedata to be downloaded in Excel, as wellas software updates to be loaded.

Standard connection using ModbusRTU, BACnet IP and BACnet MS/TP -slave only. Option required forLonWorks - Lon standards certified,BACnet MS/TP - master/slave orBACnet IP - BTL certified.

The Condair RS resistive steamhumidifier provides reliable andaccurate humidity control without theexpense of replaceable boiling cylinders.

Patented scale management featuresallow scale to be removed from thesystem quickly and efficiently. Thisextends the periods of operationbetween major services by up to three

times when compared to any otherresistive humidifier.

Accurate humidity control can beachieved of up to ±1%RH with ROwater and ±3% with mains water.

Scale that forms on the elements detaches and falls into the scale collector tank where it is easily removed.

When operated on mains water, allsteam humidifiers build up limescale inthe boiling cylinder as waterevaporates. How a humidifier managesthis scale determines how easy thesystem is to use and service.

The Condair RS’ patented scalemanagement system sets it aside fromall other humidifiers in its class andmakes it the most user-friendlyresistive humidifier in the world.

Scale that forms on the heatingelements is dislodged during normaloperation and falls into the externallylocated collector tank. To remove the

scale, the unit is drained, allowed tocool and then the collector tank can bedisconnected.

This allows intermittent servicing totake place quickly and easily withouteven needing to open the humidifier’scabinet and extends the periodsbetween major services by up to threetimes.

Pumped drainBy locating a pumped drain above thescale collector tank, scale is collectedrather than being flushed into abuilding’s drainage pipework. Thisavoids scale blockages of the pump andpipework.

Cold water poolLocating the water inlet and drainorifices between the inner plastic linerand outer metal casing of the cylinderprotects them from blockages due toscale. Scale can neither fall into thisarea nor form here, as the temperatureis maintained at around 55°C. Thisinnovative design further enables longoperational periods between majorservices.

High performance and low operating cost

Resistive humidifiers create steamthrough the transfer of heat from theresistance heater elements to thewater. This is unlike electrode boilerhumidifiers that pass electrical currentthrough the water. This differentheating strategy has several benefitswhen comparing the two technologies.

No disposable plastic cylinders As electrical current is not applied tothe water, cleanable metal cylinderscan be used, significantly reducingoperating costs.

Very close controlSteam output is controlled by applyingmore or less heat to the water ratherthan controlling water level orconductivity. This results in responsiveand close humidity control of ±3%RHwith mains water and ±1%RH with ROwater.

Can use RO waterAs the mineral content of the water hasno impact on steam output, resistivehumidifiers can operate on RO water.This virtually eliminates scale build-up,thus reducing servicing, and improveshumidity control by removing the needfor mineral dilution cycles to controlfoaming.

A USB connection allows allperformance data to be recorded andexported into Excel for advanceddiagnostics. Upgrades to software canalso easily be made via the USB port.

BMS connectivity is included asstandard with Modbus RTU, BACnet IPand BACnet MS/TP - slave only.LonWorks - Lon standards certified,BACnet MS/TP -master/slave) orBACnet IP - BTL certified are availablewith options.

Comprehensive range of accessories and options

Hygiene packA solenoid valve on the scale collectortank will ensure the system completelydrains without any standing water. Inaddition, an activation signal can besent to a building-side valve to purgethe supply line for a totally hygienicstatus during periods of inoperation.

Drain water temperTo reduce the temperature of the drainwater to below 60°C, waste water ismixed with fresh water.
