5 Basic Nail Preparation Steps:

1. Sanitize hands with Nail Prep then gently push back the cuticle.

2. File nails to desired shape.

3. Using a 180 grit Buffer, gently remove the shine and pterygium from the natural nail.

4. Remove excess dust using a Nail Wipe.

5. Apply Dehydrate and let dry.

Note: ibd Nail Systems recommends the use of one of the ibd light units for optimum results in curing ibd gels. It is further recom-mended for continued success to replace the bulbs in the light units every 6 months.

ibd Soak Off Clear Gel Over Natural Nail 1. Complete the 5 Basic Nail Preparation Steps from first page.

2. Apply Bonder sparingly from the cuticle to the free edge of the nail. Blot the nails lightly with a dry Nail Wipe to remove excess Bonder. The nails should now look dull and grainy. Cure for 1 minute. DO NOT CLEANSE. Note: For problem lifters use Natural Nail Primer in place of the Bonder application.

3. Using the simple polish-on method, apply a thin layer of ibd Soak Off Clear Gel. Cure for 1 minute.

4. Apply a second layer of ibd Soak Off Clear Gel with your Gel Brush to the nail surface starting from just above the cuticle towards the free edge. Make sure you cap the entire free edge of the nail and sidewalls with gel. DO NOT CURE AT THIS POINT.Note: Gel applied to the surrounding skin or cuticle will cause lifting. Wipe off any gel on surrounding skin with a cuticle pusher.

5. Reinforce the gel stress area by dipping the gel brush straight down into the gel, and then raise the brush creating a string of gel. Place the string of gel on low spots or any area of the nail needing reinforcement. Gel applied in this manner allows the reinforce-ment string to self level effectively. Continue applying gel in this manner to the remaining nails. Flash cure each nail for 30 seconds. Note: Gel applied on the surrounding skin or cuticles will cause lifting. Wipe off any gel on surrounding skin with a cuticle pusher before curing.

6. Once all nails have been flash cured, cure all nails together for 3 minutes.

7. To cleanse, lightly saturate a Nail Wipe with ibd Cleanser Plus and gently pat the top of the nails. Use the opposite side of this Nail Wipe to remove the remaining residue from the nail by wiping from the cuticle to free edge. Use 1-3 Nail Wipes for each hand. Remember, a wipe with too much gel on it will cause dulling. The completed nails should be smooth and free of imperfections. If filing is necessary to smooth out any high or low spots use the Sapphire File.

8. Apply a thin layer of ibd Soak Off Clear Gel to the nail surface. Avoid skin contact. Care should be taken to keep product application thin at the cuticle area and the free edge of the nail. Cap the free edge of the nail by lightly brushing the product along the sides and end of the free edge. Cure for 3 minutes.

9. (OPTIONAL) Apply Intense Seal to all nails, cure for 3 minutes, DO NOT CLEANSE the nails. Intense Seal leaves your nails with a high gloss shine. Note: Gel on the surround-ing skin or cuticles will cause lifting. Remove any gel on the skin with a cuticle pusher before curing.

10. Instruct the client to wash and dry hands thoroughly.

11. Apply Lavender Cuticle Oil and massage into cuticle area.

ibd Soak Off Clear Builder Gel Over Natural Nails

1. Complete the 5 Basic Nail Preparation Steps from first page.

2. Apply Bonder sparingly from the cuticle to the free edge of the nail. Blot the nails lightly with a dry Nail Wipe to remove excess Bonder. The nails should now look dull and grainy. Cure for 1 minute. DO NOT CLEANSE. Note: For problem lifters use Natural Nail Primer in place of Bonder.

4. Apply a layer of ibd Soak Off Clear Builder Gel with your Gel Brush to the nail surface starting from just above the cuticle towards the free edge. Make sure you cap the entire free edge of the nail and sidewalls with gel. Gel applied to the surrounding skin or cuticle will cause lifting. Wipe off any gel on surrounding skin with a cuticle pusher. DO NOT CURE.

5. Reinforce the gel stress area by dipping the gel brush straight down into the ibd Soak Off Clear Builder Gel, and then raise the brush creating a string of gel. Place the string of gel on any high or low spots of the nail needing reinforcement. Gel applied in this manner allows the reinforcement string to self level effectively. Continue applying gel in this man-ner to the remaining nails. Flash cure each nail for 30 seconds. Note: Gel applied on the surrounding skin or cuticles will cause lifting. Wipe off any gel surrounding the skin with a cuticle pusher prior to curing.

6. Once all nails have been flash cured, cure all nails together for 3 minutes.

7. To cleanse, lightly saturate a Nail Wipe with ibd Cleanser Plus and gently pat the top of the nails. Use the opposite side of this Nail Wipe to remove the remaining residue from the nail. Use 1-3 Nail Wipes for each hand. Remember, a wipe with too much gel on it will cause dulling. The completed nails should be smooth and free of imperfections. If filing is necessary to smooth out any high or low spots use the Sapphire File.

ibd Soak Off Clear Builder Gel Over Nail Form 1. Complete the 5 Basic Nail Preparation Steps from first page.

2. For a thorough, fast cure, ibd Nail Forms, self adhesive structure assures the perfect fit and form on the nail.

3. Remove form from roll and place oval cut-out on the underside of the form for added strength. Slide nail form under free edge of the natural nail being sure to prevent any gaps between the form and natural nail free edge.

4. Apply Bonder sparingly from the cuticle to the free edge of the nail. Blot the nails lightly with a dry nail wipe to remove excess Bonder. The nails should now look dull and grainy. Cure for 1 minute. DO NOT CLEANSE. Note: For problem lifters use Natural Nail Primer in place of Bonder.

6. Apply like polish, a thicker layer of the ibd Soak Off Clear Builder Gel, extending the gel over the nail form to desired length. By dipping the Gel Brush straight down into the gel, and then raising the brush out to create a string of gel. Place the string of gel on low spots or any area of the nail needing reinforcement. Gel applied in this manner allows the reinforcement string to self level effectively. Continue applying gel in this manner to the remaining nails. Flash cure each nail for 30 seconds. Note: Gel applied on the sur-rounding skin or cuticles will cause lifting. Wipe off any gel on surrounding skin with a cuticle pusher.

7. Cure all nails for 3 minutes.

8. To cleanse, lightly saturate a Nail Wipe with ibd Cleanser Plus and gently pat the top of the nails. Use the opposite side of this Nail Wipe to remove the remaining residue from the nail. 11. Apply Lavender Cuticle Oil and massage into cuticle area.

ibd Soak Off Builder French Tip Application 1. Complete the 5 Basic Nail Preparation Steps from first page.

2. To apply the Tip, choose the proper nail tip size, ensuring the tip fits the natural nail from side to side on the nail plate.

3. Gently file the entire natural nail with a Sapphire File to remove the shine. Apply a small amount of ibd 5 Second Nail Glue to the underside of the French Tip overlap area. Adhere the tip to the nail. Do not blend the tip, as this will eliminate the smile line.

4. Remove filings by dusting off the nail surface using a dry Nail Wipe.

5. Apply Bonder sparingly from the cuticle to the edge of the natural nail. Blot the nails lightly with a dry Nail Wipe to remove excess Bonder. The nails should now look dull and grainy. Cure for 1 minute. DO NOT CLEANSE. Note: For problem lifters use Natural Nail Primer in place of Bonder.

6. Using the simple polish-on method, apply a thin layer of ibd Soak Off Clear Gel. Flash cure for 30 seconds.

13. Apply Lavender Cuticle Oil and massage into cuticle area.

ibd Soak Off Gel Polish Application 1. Complete the 5 Basic Nail Preparation Steps from first page.

2. Apply Bonder sparingly from the cuticle to the free edge of the nail. Blot the nails lightly with a dry Nail Wipe to remove excess Bonder. The nails should now look dull and grainy. Cure for 1 minute. DO NOT CLEANSE. Note: For problem lifters use Natural Nail Primer in place of Bonder.

3. Using the simple polish-on method, apply a thin layer of ibd Soak Off Clear Gel, cure for 1 minute.

4 . Apply a layer of ibd Soak Off Gel Polish with your Gel Brush to the nail surface starting from just above the cuticle towards the free edge. Make sure you cap the entire free edge of the nail and sidewalls with gel. Flash Cure for 30 Seconds. Apply a second coat of ibd Soak Off Gel Polish if desired. Flash cure for 30 seconds. Gel applied to the sur-rounding skin or cuticle will cause lifting. Wipe off any gel on surrounding skin with a cuticle pusher.

5. Once all nails have been flash cured, cure all nails for 3 minutes.

6. To cleanse, lightly saturate a Nail Wipe with ibd Cleanser Plus and gently wipe nails to re-move the remaining residue from the nails. Use 1-3 Nail Wipes for each hand. Remember, a wipe with too much gel on it will cause dulling.

7. Finish with a coat of ibd Soak Off Clear Gel and cleanse.

8. (OPTIONAL) Apply Intense Seal to all nails, cure for 3 minutes, DO NOT CLEANSE the nails. Intense Seal leaves your nails with a high gloss shine. Note: Gel on surrounding skin or cuticles will cause lifting. Remove any gel on the skin with a cuticle pusher.

9. Instruct the client to wash and dry hands thoroughly.

10. Apply Lavender Cuticle Oil and massage into cuticle area.

TO REMOVE ibd SOAK OFF GEL 1. Using a nail file, break the seal around the gel nail.

2. Saturate a Nail Wipe with ibd Soak Off Gel Remover solution. Place saturated wipe on nail and wrap in foil. Allow to penetrate for 10 minutes.

3. After removing the foil the gel will be lifting off. Using a cuticle nail pusher remove the remainder of gel by pushing it off. 4. After removal of the gels have your client thoroughly wash and dry their hands and finish with ibd Lavender Cuticle Oil.
