Acoustement 30 and Acoustement 40 arePortland cement based and are typically appliedto unpainted concrete, masonry, galvanized metaldeck and structural steel. These products have fullexterior weathering capabilities and have manyexterior applications as well as interiors with harshenvironments. When any type of acoustement isbeing applied to a substrate with existing paintthat cannot be removed, metal lath or chickenwire may be required for a proper installation.
Detailing all Pyrok Acoustement products issimilar to working with stucco and traditionalthree-coat plaster. Utilize metal and plasticscreeds, beads, reveals, J-molding and corneraids; as well as wood trims and Fry Regletsconforming to the thickness of the Acoustementdesired. All Pyrok Acoustement products con beapplied to different thicknesses to achieve thedesired acoustical performance.

Transportation,Noise Control andIndustrial FacilitiesTransportatfon projects, exterior applicationsand industrial facilities are hostile environmentsfor materials (e.g. water infiltration, vibration, abuse). Maintenance and repair opportunitiesare rare and costly, so acoustical finishes mustbe durable and they must perform.
Pyrok Acoustement can be lightly troweled toa semi-smooth finish, or pointed without lossof acoustic performance, for enhancedversatility and durability.

Unique and UnequalledPyrok Acoustement provides design flexibility andqualities that ore not available with other products:
* Semi-smooth trowelled finishes* Cleanable by vacuum brushing or water washing
(Acoustement 30 and 40)* Custom colorings* Can be painted without loss of sound
absorbing performance* Exterior uses (Acoustement 30 and 40)* Non-combustible* On-site manufacturer supervision with
pre-approved installers* Low life-cycle cost* UL fire ratings on metal decking and structwral
steel (Acoustement 30 and 40)
Choose PyrokOther products such as suspended acoustical files aren'tappropriate or desired for many types of projects. AlthoughCellulose/poper acoustical products have lower installedcosts than Pyrok, they have higher life-cycle costs.
r TMCreative Designs With Performance
Cellulose/paper acoustical products cannot be cleaned, cannot be pointed without reduction in sound absorbingproperties, and are easily damaged. Pyrok Acoustement hasbeen installed in several projects replacing cellulose/paperacoustical products which had to be removed only a fewyears after installation
Specify Pyrok with ConfidencePyrok Acoustement products are applied through a licensedapplicator network with manufacturer supervision, toprovide consistent quality and proper application at acompetitive cost. And Pyrok, Inc. offers a 10 year warranty.
