PRESS RELEASE: I LOVE COLLEGE 2010

The Fantastic Four

It is with great regret that we begin by saying that Ms. Nirvana Baker is no longer with The

Fantastic Four and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours, whilst commending

and expressing our gratitude for her invaluable contribution thus far and her continued

support in the future. In an attempt to maintain our renowned level of productivity and

efficiency we have employed the services of Mr. Mikhail Jackson.

The current members of The Fantastic Four are as follows:

Hadrian “DJ Bolt” Christie

Hadrian boasts five (5) years of experience in event co-ordination and promotion, an

extensive list of successful events both in Jamaica and Barbados as well as being one of the most sought after disc jock's for the U.W.I. Campus.

Jarrell "Ringtone/The Meat Man" Fenton

From the age of sixteen years Jarrell hosted his first club event, and to date, he is the

outgoing Cultural Entertainment Activities Coordinator of Frank Worrell Hall and a member of the National Affairs Committee responsible for U.W.I Carnival.

Benjamin "Island Roots" Drakes

Benjamin has worked extensively on a number of the U.W.I.'s organizing committees

inclusive of the Guild of Students. He was one of the founding members of the Nation Newspaper Youth Magazine "@TITUDE" and most recently, is the founder of the newest social club on campus - Island Roots, which received club of the year 2009 - 2010 in only its

first year at U.W.I.

Mikhail Jackson

Mikhail, immediate past President of the Law Society, Law Representative and Constitutional Chair to the Guild of Students, has led the mantle to one of the most eventful

years to grace the Cave Hill Campus. No stranger to event coordination, he has been chief organizer to many a committee, bringing you events such as „Outta Order: Kolours‟ and

„Beerly Legal: The Double Jeopardy Edition‟.

"I Love College" (May 12th - 16th)

The Fantastic Four comprising of DJ Bolt, Ringtone, Island Roots and Mikhail presents “I

Love College” from May 12th – 16th, 2010. Patrons will be treated to seven events in four

days of non-stop excitement. Events include partying at Barbados' top night clubs,

paintballing, a discount-filled shopping day, a cruise on the high seas and so much more!

Wednesday May 12th, 2010.

“I GOT A FEELING: It's A Holiday!" – “Clarks & Heels”

Venue: Ship Inn

Time: 9p.m. - 3a.m.

Admission: $10 – Students, $15 – General

Features: The opening party to get you all pumped up and ready to party like a rock

star. Special prizes for the male in the best looking Clarks and female in the best

looking heels.

Thursday May 13th, 2010.

“BlackBerry Anonymous: The CrackBerry Edition”

Venue: Club Xtreme

Time: 9p.m. – 4a.m.

Admission: $15 – On The I.L.C. BBM List (+ 1 friend at $15), $20 – General.

Features: BBM song requests and competitions, party shots, Blackberry discounts

(ADD: 215D3E20 to obtain your discounts), BlackBerry giveaways etc.

Friday May 14th, 2010.

"I LOVE SHOPPING!"

Venue: Bridgetown (Sheraton Mall - tentative)

Time: 8a.m. till shops close.

Features: Obtain crazy store discounts with your “I Love College” Season Band

and look out for various prizes and surprises in each and every store.

Venue: MV Harbour Master

Time: 10p.m. - 2a.m. (Boarding between 9:00 - 9:45 Sharp)

Saturday May 16th, 2010.

“Judgement Day” (Paint Ball Competition: Capture The Flag and Lyme)

Venue: Kendal Sporting

Time: 9:30 a.m. - 5p.m.

Features: Paintball, darts, swimming pool, frisbee, dominoes, board games, hide and

seek, $1 pool, discounted archery, shotgun and pistol shooting.

“Candy Land J’Ouvert: The Sugar Rush"

Venue: Kendal sporting

Time: 6p.m. – 12a.m.

Admission: $15 - Students with I.D., $20 - General

Features: Free sweets and candies on entry, 'The Wet Section', and tons of paint.

Sunday May 16th, 2010

“3L's Over: Lunch Lyme and Liquor”

Venue: T.B.A.

Time: 4p.m. until...

Features: It's all about good music, good food and great company.

Season Passes

A season pass gives a patron free admission to all events, discount on shuttles and discounted

shopping at a variety of stores in Bridgetown on May 14th, 2010.

U.W.I., BCC and SJPP students are given the opportunity to purchase season passes at a

discounted price of $100.00 BDS until Saturday, April 24th. The team has decided to give an

additional early bird special from Sunday, April 25th to Wednesday April 28th, 2010 for the

low cost of $120.00(Upon request, we have made an additional 50 early bird season bands

available). Thereafter, season passes will be sold at the cost of $150.00 BDS.
