OVERVIEW:

In the Hyrell Online Hiring System, a Position is comprised of 2 key components:

• A Position Template (found in the Library tab)• A Location (found in the Organization tab)

EXPLANATION:

The Position Template is where the core attributes of a position are stored. These include:

• Position Title• Description

The Location allows the position template to be assigned to a specific address and/or zip code, thus creating the actual Position. The location is key to posting a position on internet job boards as it allow local job seekers find the open position.

Once a Position Template has a Location assigned to it, it becomes a Position that is ready to be posted live.

Remember that a Position is not advertised in public until you have posted the position. (see: )

Building a Position

OVERVIEW:

Once a Position is created, you may assign Users to that specific position. This allows:

• The User to see the position and applicants• The User to receive notification of applicants and

communications

EXPLANATION:

The Position is created by combining a Position Template and a Location. This allows the Position to exist in your hiring system.

If you want your Users to:• Have access to the position• View the position’s applicants• View other user’s communications relative to this

position• Receive notification of Applications• Receive notification of Internal Communication• Receive notification of Applicant Communication

then you need to assign each user to the position, thus granting them permission to access the Position.
