hybrid car use
TRANSCRIPT
What Is A Hybrid Car ?
In hybrid cars, there are two
power sources like internal
combustion engine and an
electric engine and it gives
maximum fuel efficiency,
reduces carbon dioxide emission.
Hybrid vehicles use
more than one type of
propulsion to power the
vehicle.

How Does A Hybrid
Car Work ?
Hybrid cars use two types of engines ie, an internal combustion engine and an electric engine.
• When the car is driven at a low speed, electric engine is used because of low power needed.
They have petrol engines similar to our usual cars and battery got larger than other cars.
• The benefit of this is that the car can be charged by plugging it into any electrical outlet and they also travel comparatively longer distances due to the larger battery.
In hybrid car you can get the regenerative braking system.
• Whenever applies the brake, the electric motor of car is converted into a generator and generates energy to charge the battery and this keeps the car running a long time.

Fuel Efficiency
When car is in slow motion, the car switches from petrol engine to electric engine and it saves fuel.
Hybrid cars reduce the aerodynamic drag to a large extent. Aerodynamic drag is the force exerted on the car by the surrounding air when the car is in motion.
The light weight car design also gives a better mileage.
Save Money On Fuel
Hybrids Are Better For Planet
Less Noise Pollution
Tax Rebates
In some places, governments have started giving road tax rebates to hybrid car users.
Disadvantage of this type of car is high initial cost, but hybrid cars are definitely better for us & environment.
