What is the "Island Escape" Senior All Night (Graduation) Party (SANP)? The all-night party is a much-anticipated year-end event that is the highlight of the graduation experience. It's a safe, alcohol- and drug-free all-inclusive party with food, games, entertainment, prizes, and FUN! This venue gives ALL HHS Seniors a final celebration together as a class. Who provides the SANP event for our annual HHS graduates? The HHS Administration and PTSO, parents, volunteers, etc. work very hard throughout the school year to host a fantastic and memorable event for our graduates. When is the SANP? The SANP is held the same night as graduation, starting at 10:30pm until 4:00am the next morning. The SANP is a lock-in; students may not enter the party after 11:30pm, nor leave before 4:00am. How do I register my Senior or sign up to volunteer or contribute monetary donations or raffle prizes? Registration, volunteer and donation forms can be found at . Why are parents of Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen asked to be volunteers for the celebration? We have over 300 graduates each year at HHS! This means we are in need of a small army of volunteers to make the party happen. Since many Senior families have relatives or guests visiting from out of town, it is our objective to leave those families unencumbered the night of their student’s graduation. We ask that parents of underclassmen (Junior , Sophomore and Freshman) consider this a "pay if forward" gesture so that when their student graduates, they may also be unencumbered! As an added bonus, the evening is a wonderful time of camaraderie for those adults who participate. What are some of the benefits of one big party? The idea is to include ALL students from the class for a safe evening, where everyone feels celebrated. It links parent volunteers with businesses in the community to encourage donations and support for our graduates to have a fun and safe celebration. Overall, this event does more than any lecture to keep our students away from drinking and driving on the night of graduation. What is the cost of the party, and why does it increase over the course of the year? The cost of the party is only $40/student if the registration is purchased by 01/25/2019. Scholarships are available by contacting your student’s guidance counselor or Mr. Edmondson. A FULL YEAR of planning goes into this party, so we need to ensure we have enough of everything (food, prizes, etc) for all students who attend. Therefore, the price increases to $50 from 01/26/2019 to 05/31/2019, then to $60 from 06/01/2019 until (and including) the night of the party. If I submitted payment during registration for my Senior to attend the SANP , do I need to do anything further? How will I know my Senior is registered? If you submitted payment for your student to attend the SANP within the annual registration packet PTSO form, you do not need to do anything further. Confirmation emails will be sent out to confirm registration and payments have been received. No tickets will be issuedyour student’s HHS ID will be required for admission to the party, What if I pay for my Senior to attend the SANP and then my student is not able to attend ? Unfortunately, there are no refunds for the SANP. What happens if my student does not show up to the party? If you know your student will not be able to attend the SANP, it would be helpful for the HHS Administration and PTSO to know. Parents will be given information closer to the night of the party to report a student’s absence. If we do not receive a message that the student is not attending, then after midnight, when all students should all be present, HHS Administration will call the parents to inform them that the student did not arrive at the party. This is done to account for all students who purchase registrations, and keep them safe– if a student is expected to be at the SANP and did not show up, we want to work with parents to account for them. huronptso.weebly.com/graduation-party.html HURON HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR CLASS OF 2019 All Night Island Escape Party FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 2019 H RON HIGH SCHOOL Island Escape Island Escape
