VAG LDR/ADR/ACC TOOL CLEARANCE NOTE:

Some VAG vehicles have radar-based cruise control options. The aiming of these systems requires a special tool to be placed in front of the vehicle while alignment sensors are mounted to the tool and the rear axle of the vehicle.

The VAG LDR/ADR/ACC tool requires a specific amount of space in front of the vehicle to operate. In tight bays, it is ok to roll the vehicle back to achieve this space.

Refer to the following diagrams for minimum rack to wall and LDR/ADR/ACC tool clearances.

Note: HS401FMVAG and HS401WM sensor do not have supporting structure along the center of the bay, therefore they will not interfere with radar aiming. The HS401CMVAG can be rolled out of the way with the cabinet.

Radar Alignment System Kit 20-1835-1 is standard with all of the VAS6292 equipment packages.The Radar Alignment System Kit is used with VAS6430 calibration bar and fixture for LDW/ADR/ACC adjustment.

If upgrading an existing system to use DSP600 or HS401 Series Sensors, the Radar Alignment System Kit 20-1835-1 is a V.A.G. mandatory tool for LDW/ADR/ACC adjustment and must be ordered.

Upgrade Options for Existing Hunter Aligners with Hunter WinAlign Program Key to VAGThe kits below are for 811 consoles that have a USB box.All upgrade kits listed below conform to VAG 1944B and VAS6292 specifications.All upgrade kits on this page should be ordered when upgrading an existing Hunter aligner. For the upgrade to work properly, the following must be present in the existing aligner:� Standard Hunter WinAlign Program Key - (verify program key installed by pressing "Show Authorization" key from

logo screen)If a VAG Program Key is installed in the existing aligner, refer to page 30 for upgrade options for these aligners.VAG requires a color printer and 19” UVGA monitor. The older 19” monitor with a sheet metal housing is unacceptable. TrainingNew VAG package does not include required suspension training. The dealer must call Dennis Tabaczka at VW/Audi headquarters to arrange for Hunter Training class participation.
