Promoted to Vice President, Global HR Operations. Role based in Dublin, Ireland, pending visa approval.
Am responsible for leading the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department globally including
all regions of operations in NAR, CALA, EMEA and APAC. Duties include standardizing orientation and
on-boarding programmes, managing benefits schemes for multiple countries, leading initiatives related to
SAP human resources information and Openet’s performance management systems and executing human
capital strategies in global compensation, benefits and employer relations.
Head the Human Resources function for operations in the United States, Brazil, and Canada covering 300
FTEs and 75 contractors to include benefits administration (health and welfare, retirement), performance
management, recruitment, compensation programming, employee relations, policy development and
implementation, non-immigrant and residency processing, on-boarding and separations, country-specific
compliance requirements, out-sourcing and contract labour management, and general HR business operations
support.
Am responsible for Health, Welfare and Retirement Benefits management costs in Brazil at R$400,000 per
annum, the United States at USD$2.2mm annually for healthcare and USD$14mm of assets in retirement
plan, and Canada at CAD$90,000 per annum for healthcare.
Designed and implemented RRSP/DPSP Canadian retirement plan (2012) with 75% enrollment in first year
and current plan assets totaling CAD$165,000.
Negotiated and lessened regional benefits costs in three countries in 2014: U.S. -3%, Canada -11.3% and
Brazil -5% by vendor negotiations and plan administration all while providing a first-time dental plan in
Brazil, increasing group life coverage maximums in Canada and adding an additional medical option in U.S.
Coordinated Reston, VA office lease renewal saving USD$446,000 over 3-year term and São Paulo, Brazil,
office space renewal saving R$301,500 over 3-year term.
Chartered and project managed the implementation of a new performance management system for 2014
review cycle which included system selection, full life-cycle testing, rehabilitation of the competency-based
appraisal structure and 360-degree surveys, construction of user guides, design of training materials,
orchestration of a new rating matrix and scale, facilitation of training for all employees in Europe, Asia and
the Americas (including a video-taped session for an online learning system) and active monitoring of the
system for 700 users in 13 countries.
Engineered a Management Development Programme in the Region which includes training modules on
Country-Specific Labour Laws, Ethics in the Workplace, Diversity, Decision Making, Accounting for Non-
Accounting Managers, Communication Skills and Performance Management / Goal-Setting, among other
topics. This scheme is being delivered in phases over a two-year period which aims to address skill gaps in
the middle-management ranks and will build on a new career management and succession planning model.
Support of global finance and operational policies, procedures and best practices in support of rapid business
development and new business operations and locations.
Successfully defended organisation against wrongful termination and discrimination claim in Canada with a
result of establishing that the business was not subject to federal Employment and Social Development
Division provisions and rather subject only to the provincial Ontario Employment Standards Act which has
lesser liability concerns and broader employer discretion in workplace management.
Accomplished organisational goal of obtaining Brazil Import License with achievement of RADAR
(Ambiente de Registro e Rastreamento de Atuação do Intervenientes Aduaneiros) to allow for foreign trade,
customs, accounting and fiscal modalities up to R$500,000.
Created Employee Handbook in Brazil in both English and Portuguese with legal review.

Granted two cash Spot Awards in two years for outstanding achievement, both valued at €2500 each: the first
for implementing an electronic solution for U.S. benefits enrollment (2013) and on-going vendor
management; the second for cost savings resulting from the Reston office lease renewal (2014).
Introduced a wellness programme in 2014 that included a Spring GetFit Challenge in which participants
received points for daily exercise activities; and: instructed Yoga in office (which still occurs), facilitated
seminars on wellness and fitness planning, provided technical tee shirts, and supplied winners with rewards.

Formulated and instituted company’s migration to Employee Self-Service product through Ceridian HRIS.
Customised deliverable to ensure work-flow fit with current processes, beta-tested self-service functions to
ensure error-free capability, audited database results, coordinated with vendor to make changes, developed
training modules to instruct employees on use at release date. Paper consumption in the HR function
decreased by more than 50% with this electronic solution in place.
Enhanced firm’s policies, management and tracking in key employee relation practises and introduced new
or updated polices on Employee Handbook, leaves of absence, paid time off policy management, time and
attendance and variable and incentive compensation at all levels.
