HUDSON’S MINI EVENTS

Hudson’s is the winelands venue of choice for all kinds of celebrations and gatherings. We offer a selection of venues for birthdays, baby showers, kitchen teas, anniversaries and company socials. Our beautiful gardens, outdoor patio with picturesque mountain views or exquisite loft venue are all available to host your special occasion. There are a range of delicious catering options all prepared from scratch in house by our dedicated team.

How many people can attend my party?

Our mini events packages are designed for between 15 and 50 guests. Should you have a bigger party planned, please ask us about our events packages for larger groups.

What time can I have my party?

Mini events take place between 09h00 and 15h00. Please be aware that all parties must conclude strictly by 15h00. Hudson’s is available for exclusive evening events too for parties of 50 or more.

There are four venue options as follows. Please contact us to check availability.

Lapa R1200.00 15 to 25 Directly in front of the patio to the left is a small thatch lapa which offers a little more privacy slightly set apart from other guests.

Loft R3000.00 15 to 50 Our first floor loft venue offers relative exclusivity and breath taking views. You can be seated on the balcony or just inside the large folding doors. There is a fireplace for winter events.

-On balcony: bistro tables and patiochairs

-Inside: round tables with white tablecloths and napkins and white tiffanychairs

-Both: cutlery, crockery andglassware

-Platters-High tea-Set menus

Garden R1000.00 15 to 50 Tucked away in the bottom left section of our extensive garden is an area reserved for parties of an informal “picnic style” nature. There is no waiter service.

- Table with cloth for food service /drinks and crockery

-You may hire umbrellas, blankets andcushions for an additional fee. Noformal set-up is offered with tables andchairs.

Can I bring in décor?

You are welcome to bring in décor within reason such as balloons and flowers. Please note that nothing may be attached to walls, ceilings, pillars or any of our permanent fixtures.

We recommend Balloons & Bubbles for helium balloon décor: [email protected].

Can I bring in a cake?

We encourage you to order our delicious cupcakes or one of our home baked whole cakes. We do allow you to bring in a celebration cake for a “cakeage” fee of R8.00 per person. Strictly no other food or beverages may be brought in.

How do I book?

Bookings for mini events are accepted a maximum of three months in advance. In order to book please email us at [email protected] with the following information:

- Your name- The type of occasion- Your contact telephone number- The start time of your party- The date of your party- Preferred venue- Expected number of guests- Menu selection

Final numbers and menu selection need to be confirmed seven days prior to the event.

Are there any other costs?

Please remember that a 10% service fee will be applied to the food and beverages portion of your bill.

How does payment work?

1. Upon booking: full payment of the venue fee is required, or R1000.00 deposit if booking patio2. Seven days prior: 50% of the total value of your booking3. On the day: the balance

Please be aware there is a minimum spend requirement of R140.00 per person.

Will these prices be valid for my event?

Prices quoted are guide prices valid up until 1st September 2020.

SPARKLING WINE Vredenvonkel Vin Sec R153 Sauvignon Blanc & Shiraz. A combination of red berries and strawberries.

WHITE WINE Sauvignon Blanc R48 R136 The complex aroma is brimming with tropical fruit flavours. Well balanced with freshness on the palate.

ROSE Vredenheim Rose R48 R136 Off dry. Light fruitiness with some floral characteristics is what attracts you with this Sauvignon Blanc /Shiraz Rose.

RED WINES Merlot R52 R147 Delightful fruity nose with wild plum aftertaste, well integrated with wood.

Pinotage R147 A medium bodied Pinotage with deep ruby red colours and violet edges. On the nose you’ll find sweet raspberry aromas with mulberry undertones and elegant oak spices.

Shiraz R157 Fruity nose, with peppery after taste. In perfect harmony with ripe tannins. Enjoy spices and pepper on the nose.

Cabernet Sauvignon R208 Full-bodied wine with soft tannins. This wine has a exciting fruity nose and typical Cabernet flavours on the palate.

Gracious Lady R218 Cabernet 80% Shiraz 15% Merlot 5% | Beautifully structured without being overcomplicated. The wine offers classic dark berries, cigar box and

forest-floor aromas.

CORKAGE R68 corkage fee of R68.00 per 750ml bottle will be levied on any wines brought into the restaurant. This fee enables us to provide you with ice, glasses and a comfortable and beautiful environment in which to enjoy your wine.
