Gathering Apocalypse: Will it all really end?The other-worldly symbolism of the apocalyptic visions in the books of Daniel and Revelation raises questions about what really happens when Christ returns. What should I know about Kingdom investing?It is a privilege to participate in the work of the local church by contributing cheerfully, sacrificially and generously (emphasis on 2 Corinthians 8 and 9). Through prayer, seek a clear conscience in regard to investing in the work God has given CCC to accomplish. If you are visiting or you are not yet a follower of Christ, make today’s priority to focus on

Serving opportunitiesOld Mill Campus, Sarpy Campus and the city

Do you remember when?In 2002, CCC had $115,000 of extra funds left in its end-of-the-year Sunday School budget. At the same time Ed and Julie, CCC workers in the Middle East, were hoping to buy a building for a community center. Ed and Julie were contacted and told that CCC might have some funds that could be used to help with this project. Ed and Julie sent a proposal for their project, and CCC became the first significant donor. After these funds were given, confidence in Ed and Julie’s project grew in the minds of prospective donors and the needed funds for the full project were quickly gathered and the building was purchased. In 2004, as the building was being furnished, Ed and Julie presented their needs to the CCC college and career group. They provided a list of the various rooms in the center and how they desired to furnish them. The CCC college and career group was interested in sponsoring their coffee shop, and in just a matter of weeks they had raised over $9,000, which allowed Ed and Julie to completely furnish that part of the center. Praise God that He has blessed CCC with the opportunity and ability to impact the world for Jesus Christ.

The Christian and Missionary AllianceCCC is a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA), an international denomination with missions at the forefront. The C&MA began in 1887 when Dr. Albert B. Simpson created the Evangelical Missionary Alliance, which focused on bringing the hope of Christ to the most neglected missionary fields, and the Christian Alliance, which helped people pursue the deeper Christian life. In 1897, the two groups merged as a parachurch organization, and in 1974 the C&MA reorganized as a denomination. CCC is part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, an international demonimation with mission at the forefront. Prayer for Missions

Mark and Lori Kiser (Omaha):The Kisers are continuing to receive more and more refugees from Nepal. Pray that they will be able to recruit volunteers to be involved.

Chris and Liz (Far East):Pray for Chris and Liz as they are expanding their coffee business. Praise God as He uses this expansion to make their business more visible to others as they strive to share the love of Christ through their business.

Mike and Sue Farho (Tunisia):The Farhos started a new series of messages called Progressing Together, similar to a Bible School. Now they are studying an overview of the Bible.

Carolyn Thorson (Gabon):The results of the presidential elections in Gabon are being contested by the second and third place winners, leading to some unrest in the capital city of Libreville and in the city of Port Gentil. There was never any unrest in Lebamba where the Bongolo Hospital is located. Continue to pray for the peace of Gabon.

Dusty and Julia Reynolds (Mali):Praise that Julia’s mom is in Mali and is encouragement to the Reynolds. Pray for safe travels as she returns to the US Wednesday. Pray for open doors for the business as it is easy to be discouraged after many bumps in the road. Pray for their friend Emmanuel who has malaria right now. Norman & Vickie Sutton (Guatemala): Continue to pray for quick learning and understanding of the language. Pray that their monthly support would reach 100% as they are currently at 81% of their monthly support goal.

Graham & Carrie Frank (India)Pray for Graham as he is in India serving the Lord. Pray for health and safety for Carrie and their children as they stayed behind.

Career networking support group guest speaker The Career networking support group will host guest speaker Amy Gubser, founder of Career Launch on September 22. Career Launch is a career development firm that empowers career professionals and changes the way people think about searching for a job.
