ATTENDANCE IN MY SCHOOL ONLINE (MSO)
STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO:
▪ Log into live sessions in MSO with their teacher EVERY scheduled school day.
▪ Be prepared to start online classes on time.
▪ Attend online class as scheduled.
▪ Have camera on when attendance is being taken.
▪ Demonstrate appropriate citizenship behavior while online.

ATTENDANCE IN MY SCHOOL ONLINE (MSO)
SCHOOL ATTENDANCE:Official school attendance will be taken every school day during the first class of the day (A-Day Per. 1, B-Day Per.2). If a student is not present when attendance is taken, the student is considered absent.
TARDY TO SCHOOL:A student is considered tardy to school if the student is NOT present at the moment the attendance is taken for the first class of the day. If a student is not present when school attendance is taken, but is present later in the school day for another assigned class, the student is considered tardy to school.
CLASS ATTENDANCE:In order to be marked present, students MUST be signed on to the LIVE SESSIONS with their teacher for each period/block.
Student MUST enable the camera function on their computer so the teacher can identify the student for attendance
CLASS TARDIES:Students who do not log into the live session with their teacher at the scheduled timed, may be marked as tardy.
A student is considered tardy to class if the student is not present at the moment the attendance is taken.

EXCUSED/UNEXCUSED ABSENCE IN MSO
My School Online (MSO) will follow the MDCPS attendance policy in regards to excused class absences.
If a student’s excuse for being absent doesn’t meet the criteria set forth in the school board attendance policy for excused absence(s) or the parent fails to report and explain the absence(s) in a timely manner, the student’s absence will be considered unexcused.
Absences shall be reported to the school by the parent no later than FIVE DAYS from the date of the absence.
To report an absence parents must submit a statement of the cause for absence

Lunch distribution will take place from 4PM-6PM on Tuesdaysand Thursdays in the West parking lot.
Don’t have Free Lunch? Meal payments must be made online via PayPams.
Free & Reduced Lunch Applications must be completed each school year. Apply online beginning Monday, August 24, 2020.
Deadline to apply for Free & Reduced Lunch is October 13th, 2020
