For some of you this will be your first introduc-tion to The Culinary Ability Awards, for others you may have heard of us through our reputa-tion of growing talent for people with disabili-ties in the hospitality sector. The Culinary Ability Awards has been dedicat-ed since 2005 to achieve its vision of enabling every food outlet in the world to embrace peo-ple with disabilities.

WELCOME
As well as continuing to embed the Culinary Abil-ity Awards in mainstream gastronomy worldwide, we are setting up a Centre of Excellence for training in Culinary Ability. Our centre will be based in Glasgow and will run a live kitchen for dozens of trainees per year.
The Culinary Ability Awards training kitchen will open as the first La Plancha restaurant in Scot-land, introducing a healthy alternative to barbe-que foods, popular in mainland Europe.
All funds raised will go towards achieving our vi-sion.

THE FUTURE

The Culinary Ability Awards is a competition aimed at bringing on new talent through people with disabilities; 100 countries have now signed up to host the Awards. Fully endorsed by the World Association of Chefs 450 people have participated in these events to date. These awards have been met with such acclaim that in 2014, Michael Auld, winner at the Hotelym-pia received a scholarship with the Queen’s pri-vate chef Anton Mosimann OBE.
