Even the best students catch themselves

sometimes “burning the candle from both ends”

This means budgeting yourself enough time

to learn gets lost amongst all your “other”

priorities… sports, games, social life… this

results in you finding out at the last minute

you’ve no time to study.

Remember, your education is the most

important priority. It will help determine your

long term success, so it’s good to give

yourself enough time to succeed.

Study each concept, scenario & vocabulary word until you can do each …

THREE TIMES CORRECTLY !

Ideas on how to do this:

◦ Study alone with no distractions

◦ Index cards – This is a tried and true method!

◦ Have a Parent quiz you – good because they can often help you with other examples

◦ Knowledgeable friends – Good if focused & not too social!

Learn the items you’ve highlighted

Finally, review every topic in the unit

What other examples do I know of that are similar?

◦ Problems - Review how to solve scenarios, math or word problems, write conclusions, etc

◦ Mistakes & Misconceptions

Find the mistakes in your portfolio Correct & Highlight each error Study so that you can answer

questions on any topic!

The next to last thing to do is get a good night’s sleep

Finally, wake up with enough time to get a good breakfast without rushing. This will help provide the fuel you need to succeed!
