How to Speak Aussie!Directions: You are going to write a postcard to a friend. You will design the front of
the card and write your friend a letter on the back. You will make your postcard on a half sheet of copier paper (split it with a friend!)
Front: Draw a picture on the front of your postcard. The picture should be something about Australia- either a map, or a picture of the Outback. Something that would tell your friend where you’ve been.
Back:The topic of your letter can be about anything you want (school appropriate)!! Some
suggestions are:
– Your summer plans– A funny experience that happened to you – A vacation you took to Australia (use your imagination!)
There is no minimum or maximum length for your letter,
but you must include 20 slang words!
UNDERLINE THE SLANG WORDS TO MAKE THEM EASIER TO COUNT!!
