Excessive or low temperature can ruin the efforts made by the team and also the equipment design or the desired shape of the casting. In this article, we will discuss and make you learn about selecting a reasonable casting temperature that will help you in making premium quality gray cast iron components.
Too High or Extreme Temperature Will Greatly Accelerate Its Rejection Rate When you select extreme temperature for casting gray iron component, it will make sand moulds inflate. When the casting temperature hits ≤1420°C, the corresponding rejection rate start rising. But when the temperature is reach up to 1460°C, the rejection rate will access to 50%.
Low Temperature Is Unfit For Casting Manufacturing When the temperature is lower than the required temperature rate for manufacturing castings, there are chances of getting maximum defects. To avoid faulty/defective castings, the temperature needs to be perfect.
