How to Modify Profile Information - EmailThe following walk-through will assist a user in modifying the email address on their I&A profile.

1. The User will go to the Identity & Access Management System web site at https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov/IAWeb and select "Accept".

2. The User will enter their User ID and Password and select "Sign In".

3. The User will need to send a verification code to confirm login. 

4. The User will need to retrieve the six digit verification code from the MFA setup that was selected, and enter the six digit verification code into the "Enter Code" box. 

5.The User will select the "My Profile" tab and the "Modify Primary E-mail" to modify their email address.

6. The User will select "Continue To Start" to change the email address. 

7.The User will enter the new email address and confirm that email address. The user will select "Continue".

8. A notification page stating "Congratulations, your I&A account maintenance process successfully finished" will be shown. The user will select "Continue To Home Page" to leave the notification page. 

9. The User will now see a message, "Your profile has been updated successfully."
