This guide has been put together to help you learn how to make money online providing services to individuals or companies. This guide is divided into 5 short and comprehensive modules, and each in detail, will take you by hand through every step. MODULE 1: WHY FIVERR Fiverr is a global online marketplace founded by Shai Wininger and Micha Kaufman from Israel in 2009, offering tasks and services, beginning at a cost of $5 per job performed, from which it gets its name. The site is primarily used by freelancers who use Fiverr to offer services to customers worldwide. Currently, Fiverr lists more than three million services on the site that range between $5 and $500

Fiverr is unique because it has got place for everyone. It is a website where you can sell anything and only website where everything is purchased. It is benefiting to everyone from small entrepreneurs to large companies.

It is a unique place to monetize your talent. From seller to buyer everyone is happy and lives like a family. If you want to make money online, providing a service from your skills set is one sure place to start.

I have created this quick guide to put you through making money online through fiverr.

An Inspiring Example

Allie Madison is a Professional actress, model, and public relations professional. She got started on fiverr in 2012 and she’s got a whopping 8,000 plus reviews on fiverr! Guess what? She was featured by Business Insider.

Quick Analysis

It is certain that over 50% of buyers don’t bother to give you reviews; they just take delivery and go home. But let’s say she has made just 800 sales at $5 each, simple mathematics shows that she has made 8000 X 5 = $40,000.

That is between N16 million and N18 million ONLY (with the current rate of dollar).

That is mind blowing, isn’t it? Looking at her page, AllieMadison you will see that her best-selling gig starts at $25. That sure is some motivation yes?, it was for me too.

If Allie Madison can make money online providing services to people in any corner of the world, right from the comfort of her home, you can make money online too. Do you say yes to that? That’s the spirit.

MODULE 2: GETTING STARTED

It all starts with registering on fiverr

In my book “How to make money online - the 3 proven ways”, I talked about fiverr as one of the platforms to freelance a little bit. I’ve got to re-explain more here. It’s all simple; all you need to do is register an account through your facebook, Linkedin or Google account.

The next thing to do is to update your profile

Updating your profile is about personalizing your account filling some forms, and adding your profile picture. Just follow the prompt instructions given.

If you have successfully updated your profile, then you’re ready to start the process of earning from doing what you know how to do.

You need to create a gig.

Creating Your First GIG

No gig no money, period.

Your Gig is the service that you sell on Fiverr. Creating your Gig is an opportunity to show off your skills and provide buyers with all necessary information that will convince them to do business with you.

For example, I am into whiteboard video animations, I design websites, I write articles, and I do audio editing.

Whiteboard animation is one gig, website design is another gig, writing article is also a separate gig and so is it for audio editing.

My first GIG is about Whiteboard video animations.

So, to create your first gig depending on what you’re skilled at, go to the top right corner of your browser, where you have your profile. Click on the “selling” drop down and click “Create a Gig”. As shown in the picture below:

SCREENSHOTS Creating your first gig is segmented into 5 phases as seen below:

Overview: Where you talk about what service you want to offer

Pricing: You set your basic, standard or premium price for your service

Requirements: You describe what you want your customers to provide you with so that you can deliver effectively

Gallery: Fiverr gives you the opportunity to showcase your previously completed project which will convince prospective customers to do business with you.

Publish: Here, you publish your gig for searchers to find you on fiverr.



After pricing, next is the requirement feature where you state what you need to complete your project.

Next is Gallery. For me, I uploaded screenshots of my work. You can also include videos.



These pictures above are example of pictures you’ll upload to your gallery so that prospective customers can have a feel of your work.



And finally, you can publish your gig after saving.

You can now copy the link provided and promote on your social media for your friends and prospective clients to try your services.

If you’ve created your first gig, you can create many more.

After successfully creating your gig, then you’re ready to start receiving orders and getting paid. Module 3 is next.

MODULE 3: RECEIVING ORDERS & MAKING SALES

All that will make this step possible is to sell yourself and promote your Gig.

When buyers come to fiverr and search for services related to the gig you’ve created, your gig will come up among others and they can choose to do business with you.

So you start to receive orders, complete this order and get paid once your customers accept their orders.

But how do you increase your sales?

To increase your chances of getting people to do business with you, do the following:

1. Add your profile picture: Adding a picture to your Fiverr profile is very important, as it shows your buyers that you are a legit seller that is ready for business.

Many people won’t purchase a gig or product from someone without a profile picture. It makes people suspicious. Make sure you choose nice picture, with an honest and open expression.

2. Add a detailed description of your gig: Adding a detailed description of your gig is better than a short or concise description, because you are actually showing your willingness and dedication to providing a gig or services.

Think about this illustration: Gig A had a better title than Gig B but when I looked at the description of Gig A…”Order my gig and I promise you full delivery. It is an SEO gig for more traffic”.



But Gig B explained in detail how he plans on optimizing pages, social presence, doing more social bookmarking and stuff.

The seller with Gig A may have better offer, but his marketing was poor and the Seller with Gig B would make more sales. So start today and put effort in making the gig descriptive enough

Make your Gig very clear, informative, and even include FAQ’s.

3. Add video: You can add video to your specific gig page to explain how your service works.

4. Target Keywords in Description as well as Title: If your Gig is about Fixing WordPress Errors, target it at least three times in the description and one and half in the title.

For instance the title can be: I will inspect your WordPress Blog and Fix WORDPRESS ERRORS. You notice that WordPress was mentioned twice in the title and the targeted keyword WordPress errors are in capital letter.

5. Get your first sale: Before you can earn more sales or orders from Fiverr buyers, do your best to get the highest rating for your gig immediately an order is completed. This can be accomplished by making sure your first sale earns you a 100 percent positive feedback.

Buyers will not hesitate to order a gig from you if you’ve already received positive feedback. You can also get your friends and/or family to help out, to get your first gig sale, and ensure positive feedback. That’ll help you get started.

You can invest a little on google or facebook adverts to promote your gig. That gives you higher chances of getting more people to do business with you.



MODULE 4: MAKING WITHDRAWALS

This is the rewarding part.

Withdrawal Issues In Nigeria

I must say that many people get discouraged about working online because

they work online and face payment issues.

For example, Paypal is a global payment but decided not to allow some

countries into its payment system, of which Nigeria is one of them. But lately,

Paypal allowed Nigerians into its system but with some limitations – You can

only make payments but you can’t receive payments into your paypal

account.

So, you may start to wonder; how will you receive your payment if you get

paid on fiverr?

How to Receive Your Payment on Fiverr

I make use of Payoneer. Payoneer is also global payment platform that helps

over 3 million users to accept payment directly into their bank account or

through Payoneer card.

Can you now receive the money you’ve made on fiverr to your bank account

directly? No, that’s why you need payoneer.

Still, if you open an account an account with Payoneer, it doesn’t mean you’ll

receive funds directly into your GTB, UBA, SKYE or whatever Nigerian bank.

Payoneer deals more with individuals with USA bank account.

So you see that getting paid is a big issue. So what you gonna do? There is a

solution.

Payoneer offers what we call Payoneer card. This card is the solution.

Payoneer Card

Immediately you open an account with Payoneer (make sure you use your

home address, where you can be reached), a Payoneer ATM Master card will

be shipped down to you FREE OF CHARGE, just like Every bank will issue to

you an ATM card after you open an account.

So, open an account with Payoneer, fill in the forms provided, set security

questions you can remember and wait for some weeks till your Payoneer card

gets to you here in Nigeria in the address you’ve provided.

Do you know you can make $25 dollars by just referring people to sign up

with Payoneer through your own referral link? People make money online

through affiliates and referrals.

How much I’m I having in my Payoneer account as at the time of writing this

book? It’s just $5.

How did I Get $5 into my Payoneer Account? I made sales on fiverr and

withdrew into my Payoneer account. I will show you everything shortly, when

I’m sharing with you how to withdraw your funds. But first let’s talk about

fiverr card.

Fiverr Card

Simply put, Fiverr card is the same thing as Payoneer card. No difference. It’s

just that, Payoneer card is known to Fiverr as Fiverr card, and Payoneer card is

what Payoneer itself calls her card. I just thought you should know. So how

will you withdraw? Let me take you by hand using my own example.



Withdrawing Funds From Fiverr Through Fiverr/Payoneer Card

My Example

Here’s my fiverr dashboard before I withdrew

I completed 2 orders at $4 dollars each. Oh, I forgot to mention something

about pricing.

Fiverr comes from the word ‘five’. The minimum payment is $5. But I said I

made 2 orders at $4 above right? Why is that? It’s simply because fiverr itself

charges $1 for every completed order from every fiverr seller.

So back to what I was talking about,

TO WITHDRAW on fiverr, you’ll have to wait 14 days after a buyer as released

payment to you. That’s just the rule. Kinda too long for me, but that’s how it

is. Only Top sellers can withdraw after 7 days.

So after 14 days of completing projects and being paid, my funds were

released to me.

So I withdrew. How? Check out the following screenshots



Go to the drop down at top right corner of your dashboard

Click on “Selling” then you’ll find “Revenues”

Choose to withdraw with “fiverr card”

The minimum amount you can withdraw is $5

So, if you already have a Payoneer account, Insert your Payoneer email, and

check your email. If you don’t have a Payoneer account, register one

Then, Check your email, as you will be instructed.

Then your funds will land in your Payoneer account, just like mine below




It usually takes 2 days for fiverr to send your money into your fiverr card or

payoneer account, and for that a $1 processing fee will be deducted.

If you want your money in your payoneer account in matter of 2 hours, that’s

possible, the processing fee for that is $3 dollars and that’s the option I went

for.

NOW, you need to go to your payoneer account to confirm your withdrawal

(depending on the option you chose: to be paid in 2 days or in 2 hours)

This is before fiverr paid in. Payoneer confirms that a payment of $8 is coming

from my fiverr account and that it will enter in 2 hours.

After 2 hours I have money in my Payoneer account and I have my Payoneer

Atm card right in my hands.



That’s why I have $5 in my account out of the $8 I made on fiverr.

Now I can withdraw that $5 with my Payoneer card in any Master Card

enabled ATM in Nigeria and anywhere in the world although charges apply.

Now come to think of completing just 30 project on fiverr by just creating

ebook covers for people, proof reading, translating, editing, animating, etc for

$5 dollars each or even 25, 50 or 60 dollars each depending on the price you

set when registering? That’s huge money made online, from the comfort of

your home.

Have I Used the $5 In My Payoneer Account Using My Payoneer Card?

I know you’re going to ask that question. Yes!!!!, I bought a necklace on

aliexpress.com, a popular ecommerce website and My ordered item got to

me. So, Making money on fiverr works and most importantly, having your

money useful to you is real!
