• I started this training cycle with a good mileage foundation.
• I had a strong Turkey Trot 5k.

2014 Ringing in Hope 10k
• December was beautiful. Elizabeth and I took advantage of the nice weather.• On New Years Eve we ran our standard 10k race.

Hamstring Injury
• The 10k PR took its toll on my hamstring.• I avoided speedwork and did strengthening exercises to heal the injury.• January was COLD – often with wind-chill below 0!• More treadmill miles than I care to remember.

• I wish I had footage of some of my previous races, so I got a GoPro to capture all the exciting race moments.
• That is my heaviest running shirt.
• I can’t believe I went outside at all this month.

20 Milers!!!
• It’s time to get serious now – only 8 weeks of training left!• February was cold like January but it also had snow and ice!• One of those 20 milers was supposed to be the Cowtown Half Marathon,
but we had to cancel due to an ice storm in Ft. Worth, Tx.• That same storm hit us in VA the next day.
Repetitive 20 miler
• We even had to run one of our 20 milers as ~6 loops of 3.5 miles through the only neighborhood that had streets plowed enough to run on.
• I got a sunburn that day from all the reflection off the snow.

2015 DC RnR Half Marathon
• March was going well.• Another 20 miler makes 4 this training cycle.• We ran the Rock and Roll DC Half Marathon as a tune-up race.
RnR DC Half Marathon
• Elizabeth and I ran Marathon Pace miles 2 weeks out from our Target Race.
• I wore my GoPro for my first time ever in a Race.
• It rained the entire time, but we had a great time!
