The Monkess, which began as a TV show, was made up of a musician and 3 actors. The band had to depend onother musicians to help them at first. During the broadcasts, what they were to do was to make fun of each other as well as pretend to sing. The humorous performances helped them become popular. To know better about them, the fans even formed clubs. Anyhow, the Monkees was a hit.

The Monkees, a light-hearted sitcom(situation comedy) starred by four young men , was first broadcast in 1966. The humorous performances soon became a great hit, with “I‘m a Believer” making it all the way to No. 1. Though made for TV, The Monkees had real-life hits and struggled to show that they were more than the “Prefab Four”. As a video-group, they would spend 12-hour days in the studio. These four young men, however, made use of every minute to practise when waiting for filming , and then wrote most of track and played many of the musical instruments for 1967’s Headquarters, which showed the critics(批评家 ) that they had talent and musical know-how. During the performance on March15,2014, the Monkees announced they will be touring again this summer.
