Course Objectives

• To have the student develop and demonstrate understanding of the principal conceptual and managerial issues of information technology and resource management.

• To have the student become a more discriminating consumer of the services of information systems

• specialists (e.g. vendors, consultants, in-house specialists) and discern the differences in these services.

• To have the student be able to manage the development, deployment, and use of corporate information technology and resources with increased confidence and effectiveness.

• To have the student demonstrate the ability to analyze and evaluate existing information needs

• assessments and make appropriate recommendations.• To have the student demonstrate understanding of competitive use of IT

among diverse industries.
