• The worker bees collect nectar from variety of flowers. Which they must visit between 100-150 flowers to fill their stomach

• The nectar enters the bee stomach the sugar from the nectar reacts with enzymes which create 2 simple sugar which is important in the process of honey making

• Bees the take nectar to cell which it is stored

• All bee fan the nectar with their wing to create a draft to help excess water evaporate

• Nectar become thicker and sugar become concentrated , honey at this stage is called “Ripe Honey” which then can be removed.

• BEE TEAM then smoke the bees so they can be less aggressive when removing

• A knife will be used to remove wax from the comb

• Honey will then be put through a machine to be filtered

• Last & final stage is to bottled the honey and sell it

• For exportation purposes, the bottles would be packaged in Cartons of twelve (containing 12oz bottles of honey)

• After calculating the full diameters of the 20’’ container, we estimated that 630 boxes of honey will be exported. Each box will contain 12 bottles of honey. Also the boxes will be placed on pallets where 17 would be required.

• Caribbean shipping agencies ltd will charge $393.75 inclusive of custom fees

• The standard rate to ship a 20 foot container from Belize to Miami is $1,200 USD.

• The rate to ship the container from Miami to The Bahamas is $900 USD.

• The boxes in which we would use for our exportation purposes will be boxes at the size of 405 x 305 x 370mm – when converted to inches, it will be 15x12x14 inches
