1 Handcrafted in the USA mustangseats.com Honda VTX1300 Retro, S & T ‘04-09 Solo and Passenger Seat Hardware: Solo seat: Stock 8mm Allen bolts x 2 Passenger seat: Stock 6mm screw Tools needed: 6mm Allen wrench 8mm Allen wrench Removal of Stock Seat: 1. Remove the stock 6mm screw from the rear of the passenger seat and the 8mm screws from either side of the passenger seat. 2. Lift the passenger seat and handstrap off the motorcycle. 3. Remove the two stock 8mm bolts from either side of the solo. 4. Lift the rear of the solo up, and then slide the seat back to remove. 5. Remove the two stock 8mm screws holding the passenger seat mounting bracket the fender, remove the bracket, and replace the screws into the fender. This bracket is not needed to mount your Mustang seat.

Solo and Passenger Seat

Hardware:  Solo seat: Stock 8mm Allen bolts x 2 

Passenger seat: Stock 6mm screw 

Tools needed:  6mm Allen wrench 8mm Allen wrench 

Removal of Stock Seat: 

 

 1. Remove the stock 6mm screw from the rear of the passenger seat and the 8mm screws from either side of the passenger seat. 

2. Lift the passenger seat and handstrap off the motorcycle.  3. Remove the two stock 8mm bolts from either side of the solo.  4. Lift the rear of the solo up, and then slide the seat back to remove.  5. Remove the two stock 8mm screws holding the passenger seat mounting bracket the fender, remove the bracket, and replace the screws into the fender. This bracket is not needed to mount your Mustang seat.

  4. Push the passenger seat forward until the rear bracket aligns with the fender mount. Secure the bracket to the fender with the stock 6mm rear screw.   

Enjoy the comfort and custom look of your new Mustang seat!

 

Installation of Mustang Seat:    1. Slide the solo’s front bracket into the frame receptacle under the gas tank. Ensure the bracket is inside the receptacle and not on top of it.   2. Push the solo forward until the two side brackets are aligned with the motorcycle’s side mounts. Secure to frame with the two stock 8mm bolts.   

   3. Slide the passenger’s front bracket into the receiver on the back of the solo.
