Parents and grandparents may choose to attend a class with your student during this time. As a courtesy to professors and to ensure there is room for visitors, your student will need to speak with the professor about your classroom visit ahead of time. You can also connect with the admissions office to see a list of available classes.

New to campus or just want to see what has changed? Join up with one of our students for a walking tour of campus. Half-hour tours leave the Welcome Center at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. and full hour tours leave at 1 and 2 p.m. Need a lift? Request a golf cart ride on the registration form. Registration encouraged.

2 – 5 p.m. Road Trip to Goshen College’s Merry Lea Environmental Education Center Meet at south side of the Union Building

Ride in a GC bus to Merry Lea, tour some of the facilities and learn more about all of

the amazing programs that are part of this GC gem. Presentation by Merry Lea staff will focus on sustainable foods grown on the Merry Lea Farm. Bus will leave from campus at 2 p.m. and return by 5 p.m. Registration required. Limited space.

Joel Short ’04, director of financial aid, will talk about financial aid and how to best plan and save for your child or grandchild’s college education. This in en excellent opportunity for anyone planning to send a child to any college.

“Touchstones: Goshen College at 125” Location TBD Joe Springer ’80, Mennonite Historical Library curator, and Susan Fisher Miller ’79, author of Culture for Service, will share stories of significant events from the 125 year history of GC as only they can do.

“Gamelan Demonstration” Union Building, Gamelan Room Marcia Yost, director of the arts, will share the journey that brought the gift of this Indonesian instrument to Goshen and GC’s plans for it. You will even have a chance to play it.

“Ecology in India” Location TBD Jonathon Schramm, associate professor of sustainability and environmental education, will share about this recent May term class.

“Your Goshen College Alumni Council” Location TBD Jair Hernandez ’13 and Brianne Brenneman ’17, members of the GC Alumni Council, will talk about their time on the council and ways that alumni and friends can be engaged in support of the college.

Celebrate 50 golden years! This is a chance to mingle with your classmates and hear an update about your SST class gift. A heavy hors d’oeuvres buffet will be served.

Todd Yoder ’84, vice president for advancement, will give a tour of the newly renovated Union and the newly installed Hunsberger Haitian Art Collection. The tour will end at the Union room where the Nyai Oyer Gamelan is on display. Marcia Yost, director of the arts, will give a brief introduction to the gamelan instrument and you may even have a chance to play it.
