being a leader in the heating and cooling industry, Krecker and Timmerman enjoy life to the fullest. Krecker has been involved with the Rotary Club for many years and enjoys restoring old cars. His current project is a 1955 Chevy panel truck; with the Air Masters, Inc. logo, beautiful blue paint and whitewall wheels, it will be a memorable sight — and that’s the plan.

While Krecker spends time working with his hands, Timmerman spends his free time working with children and adults at Bethel Fellowship Church. On Tuesday evenings, you will find him teaching Bible study and on Sundays leading a worship service and teach-ing Sunday School. He is an active member of the community and loves Port Orchard.

Children can build a Lego house; chainsaw carvers will perform

BREMERTON — There’s more than “home and garden” in the Peninsula Home & Garden Expo March 14-16 at

the Kitsap County Fairgrounds. New this year is an all-access pass which

allows you to attend all three days of the expo at your leisure for just $10. Regular ticket prices are $6 for adults; $5 for teenag-ers, active-duty military, and seniors.

The Home Builders Association of Kitsap County, which presents the expo, considers this to be the best home show west of Seattle. You will have the opportu-nity to meet hundreds of nursery and landscape vendors, visit outdoor landscape displays, attend seminars, and tour the fairgrounds’ rain garden. The emphasis this year is on gardening. Master Gardeners and Kitsap Rain Gardens will be available to answer questions.

The highlight for families this year will be the Lego™ Building Challenge. On March 16, children ages 5-12 will build a house with a provided set of Lego™ pieces. Judges will award a Lego™ themed prize to one win-ner in each age group (5-7, 8-10, and 11-12). On March 15-16, watch live performances by The Second Street Cabin Chainsaw Carvers. The carvers are Dave and Debbie Tremko, Patrick Canavan and Jerry

Heneger — a tight-knit group of artists from Snohomish. They were featured last year on the Bob Woods Show on KJR.

Dave Tremko, who is Aleut, is the sculp-tor for the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians in Arlington in addition to his work with Second Street Cabin. He has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Discovery Channel’s Saw Dogs and USA Network’s Summer Camp. Debbie Tremko started a popular chainsaw art show in Arlington called the Eagle Festival. She and Dave married in 2011 during the filming of Discovery’s chainsaw carving show; they walked down the aisle under two rows of raised and running chainsaws.

Patrick Canavan, who has been carving for 18 years, also enjoys hand carving. Jerry

Heneger has been competing in chainsaw competitions since 2003; he is the self-proclaimed fastest chainsaw artist on one leg. Something that all the carvers in Second Street Cabin have in common is their appre-ciation of the camaraderie among chainsaw artists.

Free daily seminars will be on a variety of topics: kitchens, rain gardens, solar energy, enjoying outdoor spaces, and what to do about mold. To learn how to set up your own home brewery, attend Brad Ginn’s seminar on 6 p.m. on March 14. Ginn is the head brewer at Sound Brewery.

SILVERDALE — Just like several high-tech giants, Quality Heating, Electrical & Air Conditioning in Silverdale had
