I Scream, You Scream,

We All Scream for Ice Cream!

Thanks to generous donors, ice cream is back at Holy Spirit! Since it’s return

in the beginning of February, the new ice cream machine has been a big hit.

Ice cream is served Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:30-3:30. There

is a choice of vanilla, chocolate, or twist. The following toppings are also

available: chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, peanuts, sprinkles, and crushed

cookies.

We would like to introduce our new,

feathery friend, Rico, and welcome

him to the Holy Spirit family. Rico can

be found in the first floor lounge. Since

joining us in mid-February, Rico has

loved all of the music, activity, visitors,

and has even joined in on praying the

Rosary. Please remember that Rico is

on a special diet, so please do not of-

fer him food when you come and say

‘Hi’.

Reminders: Foot Pedals: Before pushing a resident in a

wheelchair, you must make sure their feet are on

the foot pedals. It’s the law. Don’t move residents without them. You can find pedals on the back of the residents’ wheelchair or in their room.

Handicap/Ambulance Parking: At our front entry, there is a spot to be left open for ambulance parking, in case of emergencies, as well as a Handicapped Parking spot. Please keep these spots open if you do not fall in either category.

Guest Meals: Meals are $5.00. Please notify the front office one day before.

Labeling Resident Clothing: When bringing

in resident’s clothing, if possible, place in a bag that can be marked with the resident’s name so that staff can label the clothes for you. Your cooperation is very much appreciated in this matter!

Food for Residents: All food that is brought/kept in resident’s rooms must be completely

We are so excited once again for our Fun & Ex-

citing Spirit of Home Gala Event. One of the

Spirit of Home Gala Event’s biggest attractions

that evening is the Gift Card Wall and Wine

Pull. We are asking our Holy Spirit supporters

to help us with donating $25.00 gift card dona-

tions and $20.00+ bottles of wine to keep this

such a huge success once again this year! So

if you could be so kind as to consider donating

a: $25.00+ gift card or $20.00+ bottles of

wine— we would be so grateful! You can drop

these items off at my office: Deb Poss– Direc-

tor of Development & Marketing in the Main

Lobby area; or you can contact me directly at:

712-224-9993. God bless each of you and

looking forward to seeing you there!
