Knights of Columbus News

The baby shower for our spiritual baby will take place

on April 10th. We are asking for some baby articles or

monetary donations for our shower (i.e., baby clothes,

formula, bottles, diapers, etc.). There will be a pancake

breakfast and door prizes, as well.

Please come downstairs after the 10:00 am Divine Liturgy. There is only

one liturgy on this Sunday. For further information contact: Program

Director, Deputy Grand Knight Zenon Scraba 453-2949.

Every Friday during Lent the parish will hold a community

supper for all parishioners. Come and enjoy a Lenten

meatless meal every Friday starting at 5:30 pm, and stay

and pray together at the service to follow. This is a wonderful way to

prepare for Easter together. Please join us. Bring a friend.

KIDS’ CORNER

URGENT REQUEST - We are looking for volunteers who can help us

with an upcoming Pysanky/Easter Egg writing workshop for our young

people. We will be hosting this event on Saturday, April 16 following the

Sorokousty service. If you can assist, please call the parish office at 453-

4653 and leave a message for Fr. Darren. Your help is always appreciated

but without it this workshop will have to be cancelled for this year.

March 27 & April 3 - no classes. Classes resume Sunday April 10 at

9:00 am. Please note that the Children’s Choir will be singing at the

10:00 am Divine Liturgy on April 10th.

Annual General Meeting - Our parish AGM has been scheduled for

Wednesday, May 4 at 7:00 pm. We ask that our various organizations

please submit a brief report encompassing no more than one page by

Friday April 8th to the parish office.

On the Third Sunday of Great and Holy Fast, our Church

commemorates the precious and life-giving cross of our Lord

Jesus Christ. Services include a special veneration of the cross,

which prepares the faithful for the commemoration of the

Crucifixion during Holy Week.

Note

Donations received towards our dome’s renovation, thus far,

amount to $12,002.00. Thank you for your generosity. We

are off to a wonderful start and we are still accepting

donations. Together we will work that $60,000 debt off.

Choir News

All choir members (9am and 11am) planning to participate

in the Holy Week or Easter services are asked to attend rehearsals on

Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm, beginning March 29. Additional rehearsals

may be added - watch for announcements.

9:00 am Choir - ALL participants are asked to meet in the hall Sunday

mornings half an hour before liturgy, to warm up and review the day's

verses and hymns. This is a very important time of preparation and focus.

Your attendance is vital.
