Holy Family Parish November 10th, 2019 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time Office Hours: 9:30 am—12:00 pm, 1:00 pm—4:00 pm Sacred Heart Church of the First PeoplesChristmas Hampers The Christmas season is always a joyous time, getting together with family and friends to enjoy a special meal, the giving and receiving of gifts and especially the joy on the faces of children. For those living at, or below, the poverty line, each month is a struggle to provide for their families. Through the continued generosity of parishes, individuals, businesses and organizations, we are able to provide Christmas hampers to families in need to ensure they enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner, something many of us take for granted. The Christmas Day Meal for the homeless is an important and much needed event for the inner city. Last year, over 550 hampers were delivered to those in need. This year we are again looking for cash donations to help purchase gifts, food for the Christmas dinner, turkeys, and non-perishable food items for the Christmas hampers. Holy Family Parish will be collecting donations for the Christmas hampers on the weekend of December 7th and 8th, to give ample time for Sacred Heart Church to assemble them. For monetary donations, cheques can be made payable to Sacred Heart Parish. Please give generously to our fellow Catholics. The hampers will be delivered on Saturday, December 21st, 2019. Please contact the office for more information on how to donate to this worthy cause.

Thank you to all who are saving pull tabs and those who have also donated them in the green container in the coatroom. For one motorized wheelchair, 12 million tabs are needed (or 5708 lbs. or 140 five-gallon pails). Easter Seals and an Edmonton Knights of Columbus Chapter choose a recipient. Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples’ Christmas Hampers

Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples’ Christmas Hampers

The Christmas season is always a joyous time, getting together with family and friends to enjoy a special meal, the giving and receiving of gifts and especially the joy on the faces of children. For those living at, or below, the poverty line, each month is a struggle to provide for their families. Through the continued generosity of parishes, individuals, businesses and organizations, we are able to provide Christmas hampers to families in need to ensure they enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner, something many of us take for granted. The Christmas Day Meal for the homeless is an important and much needed event for the inner city. Last year, over 550 hampers were delivered to those in need. This year we are again looking for cash donations to help purchase gifts, food for the Christmas dinner, turkeys, and non-perishable food items for the Christmas hampers. Holy Family Parish will be collecting donations for the Christmas hampers on the weekend of December 7th and 8th, to give ample time for Sacred Heart Church to assemble them. For monetary donations, cheques can be made payable to Sacred Heart Parish. Please give generously to our fellow Catholics. The hampers will be delivered on Saturday, December 21st, 2019.
