This year the city of Pforzheim will again exhibit at the COMPAMED trade fair in Düsseldorf, which takes place simultaneously at MEDICA. The business location of Pforzheim and Northern Black Forest is represented by twelve companies from our area which will present their products and services at the joint stand of the HOCHFORM cluster initiative at the COMPAMED trade fair. The shared partici-pation at the trade fair is one of many measures of our initiative to support companies in the field of metal processing precision en-gineering in the economic region of Pforzheim and Northern Black Forest.

In the last few decades, the business location of Pforzheim, building on the knowledge and skills of traditional jewellery and watchmaking industries, has developed into a dynamic corporate landscape with a special focus on precision metal processing.

die Stadt Pforzheim ist auch in diesem Jahr auf der Messe COMPAMED in Düsseldorf vertreten, die zeitgleich zur MEDICA stattfindet. Die Präsentation des Wirtschaftsstandortes Pforzheim / Nordschwarzwald erfolgt mit zwölf Unternehmen unseres Wirtschafts- raumes, die ihre Produkte und Dienstleistungen im Rahmen des Gemeinschaftsstandes der Cluster-Initiative HOCHFORM auf der COMPAMED präsentieren. HOCHFORM is an initiative from the WSP designed to promote companies in the region of Pforzheim and Northern Black Forest with a focus on metal processing precision engineering.

Our precision engineering companies of Pforzheim enjoy a worldwide reputation for quality. In all relevant markets and industries the emphasis is on production of parts with extremely high precision. The Ätztechnik Herz GmbH & Co. KG company from the Swabian town of Epfendorf in Germany is a pioneer for the clean production of com-ponents. The company manufactures highly precise flat metal parts used in the production of panels and reel-to-reel large scale production and has fine-tuned its processes to meet the high cleanliness require-ments of the automotive and medical engineering industries. The type of technology used has made this possible. Parts manufactured using etching technology are free of oil and burrs and therefore burrs cannot separate to form particles and stick to surfaces. The cleanliness stan-dard VDA19 is complied with. The clean production applies to samples, short strip sections and large-scale series production.

Ground breaking technology is at the core of this development, which allows braid to be automatically woven in every imaginable form and in a cost effective process. All types of materials like: stainless steel, tungsten, Nitinol or alloyed metal and even plastics, can be woven in to completely different constructions crossed over at various angles.
