Mr Antony Yip

Mr Antony Yip, formerly worked in Big-4 audit firm and investment banking sector and

is currently the group financial controller of a main board listed company in Hong Kong.

He is also acting as QP workshop facilitator and QP examination marker for Module A –

Financial Accounting, Module B Financial Management and Final Examination over 6

years. He is very familiar with the marking schemes of QP and could identify common

pitfalls in students’ writing in the view of a QP marker.

Antony is excellent in writing detailed notes for open-book exams and can highlight the

key points that the marker is looking for. He is very enthusiastic to direct students to the

Mr. Sam Law

Mr. Law has over 20 years of professional training, accounting, finance and investment management experiences. He is currently running his own consultancy firm and in relation to professional training, he has been the QP exam marker and QP Workshop facilitator for Module A and B for over 8 years, in addition he has been appointed as QP Trainer for the Enhanced QP.

His specialties in professional accounting training are financial reporting, performance management and financial management. These topics are always his major strengths and his students have always gained valuable insights from his experiences.

He is also Adjunct Lecturer and Advisor of School of Business and Finance at HKU SPACE since 2005. He has taught thousands of accounting students in the accountancy field in the past. Currently he is also serving as part-time lecturer of various top tertiary institutions from Australia, Hong Kong, and China.

His methods of training are unique, effective and very exam orientated due to his past marking and teaching experiences. Dr Sammy Fung

Dr. Sammy Fung holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) in Accountancy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Before taking up his faculty position in the university, Sammy has served as a technical training manager, management consultant and auditor for two Big-4 firms for over 8 years. He is currently a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Accounting Association.

For HKICPA QP Examination, Sammy is an experienced trainer and has served as a QP marker, QP workshop facilitator and QP examination reviewer for the Module A and B for almost 10 years. Due to his devoted efforts, he has shared his effective examination techniques with the QP students and for this last Final Exam (FE) intake under the old syllabus, he wishes to dedicate his expertise helping students to pass the FE exam, focusing on teaching Module B, before the launch of Enhanced QP. His Module B current students at ETC have greatly appreciated Dr Sammy’s teaching method. Fiona has been working extensively in the accounting field for over 10 years, and is

currently one of the practising partners of a medium size firm in Central, Hong Kong.

She has considerable practical experience in auditing, tax, corporate governance and

risk management.

Fiona is a famous and experienced lecturer for QP exam as she has taught over 3000

accountancy students in the past through 2 local training institutions (one of which was

started by her). She is very familiar with the QP exam structure as she has passed the QP

exam herself. She is also a technical writer for well-known publishers for publishing

materials for accountancy students. Therefore, she will advise you how to prepare a

critical file and how to consolidate all the relevant materials in order to pass the exam in

an effective and efficient way with more confidence.
