NME have built a consistent reputation that now every customer who enters the magazine shop weekly knows there will always be a new magazine on the shelf every week. The style has been created so NME is easily recognizable that you don’t have to pick the magazine off the shelf to know who it is made by, the bright red, three lettered logo is so easily recognizable that seven million users are reported to use the website each and every month.

When NME originally started as a newspaper in 1952 the original logo (as seen above) used to have the slogan inside the logo to let the customer know who the producer of the newspaper was, however now the publisher's have changed the logo so that only NME is visible in the original red color with a black outline.
