STOPharming yourself.

STOPpreventing your own growth.

www.growthmirror.com

One harms oneself and stops one’s own spiritual growth

Because one DOES direct or indirect HINSA (VIOLENCE)

May be unknowingly, but

one does, gets it done or passively supports HINSA

And It is this HINSA ,(though done very much unknowingly)

That prevents one‟s growth….

Putting your hand in fire,

(even when done UNKNOWINGLY) is sure to burn you

Stops one from growing spiritually ….www.growthmirror.com

Instead of un necessarily repeating the indisputable importance of

AHINSA, having every known religion continuously emphasizing on it…

www.growthmirror.com

So, Lets straight come to the point and learn is about

“HOW we DO HINSA, and HOW TO PRACTICE AHINSA”

Different faiths named it differently . . .

COMPASSION, LOVE, SUMISSION TO DEVINE WILL or

Call it BENVOULENT BROTHERHOOD . . .

None can be experienced, unless one is experiencing AHINSA

Still we miss the track, because ,

To say NO to HINSA,

We must first KNOW what is hinsa,

& how we DO HINSA.

www.growthmirror.com

What is Hinsa?

HINSA

INDIRECTDIRECT

Direct HINSA

THOUGHT WORD DEED

Indirect HINSA

Any act of HINSA done by others in your presence that you know as

wrong, but you ‘support’ it by the way of “ not acting against” or even ‘ignoring’ or ‘turning a blind eye’ at

it…

www.growthmirror.com

DIRECT – HINSA : “DONE BY YOU” (KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY)

THOUGHT WORD DEED

Negative thinking about others / Jealousy

Thoughts / feeling of ‘cold indifference’ towards other’s suffering

Revengeful thoughts / ill will

Thinking / planning done mentally ,to block someone’s growth or success

Malicious intents of sidelining someone or curbing his/her goodwill/name or

controlling someone for personal gains

Thoughts about belittling someone

Thoughts having anger about somebody or something

www.growthmirror.com

Do you experience any of these? If yes, BEWARE……. BE AWARE

DIRECT – HINSA : “DONE BY YOU” (KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY)

THOUGHT WORD DEED

Thoughts are ENERGY bundles & are actually “ACTS / ACTIONS” or “KARMA” ,

having HIGH POWER to produce RESULTS.

You may think you can hide this from others, but NATURE notes it and makes you PAY FOR IT.

www.growthmirror.com

Are you willing to be receiving ill will and social rejection ?

DIRECT – HINSA : “DONE BY YOU” (KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY)

THOUGHT WORD DEED

Harsh / insulting words

Truth that is conveyed crudely

Abusive language even if its casual / friendly and unintended

Complaining wrongly or conspiring/lying to HARM someone

verbal humiliation and angry verbal outburst

Maligning / Gossips and loose talking which directly or indirectly reduces

respect of someone or harms someone’s image

Words that are uttered without considering impact & ‘side effects’

Do you experience any of these? If yes, BEWARE……. BE AWARE

DIRECT – HINSA : “DONE BY YOU” (KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY)

THOUGHT WORD DEED

Words are like the arrow that is shot from the bow . These “ACTS / ACTIONS” or “KARMA” ,

Are very quick to produce RESULTS.

You may “sugar coat” this to make it look like AHINSA, but NATURE takes note of it’s INTENT & simply reciprocates.

www.growthmirror.com

Are you willing to be humiliated and victimized by uncalled for domination?

DIRECT – HINSA : “DONE BY YOU” (KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY)

THOUGHT WORD DEED

Hitting / Hurting / Killing

Acts of DISRESPECTING / Dishonoring someone’s FAITH or RELIGION

Provoking and / or acting in order to create any form of disharmony /unrest

or disturbing social peaceful living

Violent or DISTRUCTIVE manners or ways to achieve your personal objectives

or adopting such means even to achieve justice or establish your views /

beliefs

www.growthmirror.com

Do you experience any of these? If yes, BEWARE……. BE AWARE

DIRECT – HINSA : “DONE BY YOU” (KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY)

THOUGHT WORD DEED

It’s like entering in to ONE WAY with NO ‘U-TURN’. These “ACTS / ACTIONS” or “KARMA” ,

Indicates the QUALITY of life Experience that you are CREATING for your future….

This “HINSA”, is sure to prevent all life supporting strengths & goodness coming to you for your life’s protection and growth.

www.growthmirror.com

Are you willing for the whole universe to work against you?

IN DIRECT – HINSA : “SUPPORTED BY YOU” (KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY)

When you „see‟ or „witness‟ some one else doing hinsa by

( thought / word / deed ) and you support it by your inaction,

keeping quiet or even turning a blind eye at it,

its ANUMODAN - Hinsa with your support

And it is treated by NATURE as Hinsa by you.

www.growthmirror.com

The most effective solution is praying for strength to make a difference, or

a genuine prayer for universal / impersonal peace and harmony FOR ALL.

. .

The most lethal type of hinsa. .. Concealed by cunningness of being practical.

Do you experience it? If yes, BEWARE……. BE AWARE

HINSA DONE BY YOU IS GOING TO HIT YOU BACK….

Your ACTS of Hinsa ,

be it DIRECT or INDIRECT

is the fire that is sure to burn you…

www.growthmirror.com

HINSA DONE BY YOU IS GOING TO HIT YOU BACK….

Imagine yourself getting ENGULFED

By this FIRE because,

you HAD either

DONE or SUPPORTED

acts of DIRECT or INDIRECT HINSA…

www.growthmirror.com

After having created awareness about

how do we do HINSA ,

Lets explore,

What are the solutions ?

How to practice AHINSA ?

4 step solution for

“HOW TO BE ROOTED IN AHINSA”

4 Purusharth – Right Efforts and feeling

Sankalp – Firm resolve

Take a firm resolve of NOT doing or SUPPORTING hinsa in any form.

More often than not, we end up doing hinsa because importance of

ahinsa is only at information level for us. Not at conviction level

based on actual experience…

Lets take up firm commitment to practice established importance of

ahinsa, based on instructions by ALL ancient wise seers & our own

strong commitment towards our own spiritual development . . .

Lets commit to say NO to HINSAfrom THIS VERY MOMENT ONWARDS…

A firm resolve is the first step.

STEP 1 : SANKALP

www.growthmirror.com

Jagratta – VIGILANT Awareness

STEP 2 : JAGRATTA

www.growthmirror.com

Most of the time we DO or SUPPORT hinsa , because we live mechanically.

We mechanically REACT based on animal instincts, and not RESPOND based on

human values. Previous slides explaining hinsa in various form is to create right

awareness..

When tempted to do hinsa, Lets learn to ask ourselves,“What will I get in return if I behave this way?”

“Am I so weak and impotent, that I can not practice GOODNESS?”

“Is there any other moral and fair manner to seek justice?”

“will it help me realize my spiritual goal?”

“will it make me a better human?”

“will this help me realize and/or maintain peace?”

Vigilance is to be practiced at all time….

Will you like doing any wrong, when you are vigilant and aware about it‟s ill effects?

Lets be vigilant from this very moment onwards….

CLARITY and UNFLINCHING VIGILANCE and AWARENESS is the second step.

Repentance – this as a tool was instructed by all wise seers of all

faiths and religions. Only the names for the same tool were different.

www.growthmirror.com

STEP 3 : PRAYASCHIT

Acknowledging that wrong was done, and rightly seeking

forgiveness and correcting it‟s root at intent level is really a

very powerful tool to counter hinsa and create healthy

impressions of ahinsa.

Doing good to „cover‟ what was done „bad‟ is less effective

than actually ‘cleaning’ and/or ‘undoing’ what was done

bad/wrong…

Call it confession, pain cause contemplation, penance or pratikraman..

All faiths and systems instructs us to practice it..

Lets start practicing it from today onwards…daily…

PRAYASCHIT is the third step..

Purushartha – Right actions / deeds that will lead you to

your spiritual goal.

www.growthmirror.com

STEP 4 : PURUSHARTH

Every person has duty to work towards his/her salvation. Finding true

meaning of self and progressing towards self realization is PURUSHARTH.The way to self mastery is never on someone else‟s shoulder and never coloured

with blood and violence.

Practice kindness, compassion, love and spread real joy –

with these noble responses - replace mechanical negative reactions

like anger, hatred, jealously . ..

Be proactive in being positive and helping others…

Its positive and right actions/ karma that are needed to fill our lives so much,

that there is no space for negativity…

Lets do PURUSHARTH from this very moment onwards…

And its this right effort – Purusharth. That is the forth step to be firmly rooted

in practice of ahinsa…

THE MOST EFFECTIVE TOOL to prevent harming yourself

as well as helping yourself for GROWING SPIRITUALLY

IS PRACTICING

AHIMSA
