Our StoryDid this really begin over 25 years ago? Tony and I are still finding it hard to believe that formulating and producing a herbal supplement for our horse Ryan in the late 1980’s, could have led to the creation of a business that has stood the test of time for over a quarter of a century!

During this time we have never underestimated just how lucky we have been, to be able to combine our love of animals, with a determination to bring the highest quality herbal supplements, and natural healthcare products, supported by friendly, informed, helpful advice, to a wider audience of animal and pet owners around the world.

As you may imagine, it hasn’t always been plain sailing, and like many small businesses we have had our fair share of challenging, and life changing experiences! What we do know is that none of our achievements would have been possible without the help and support of our fantastically loyal customers, many of

whom have been with us since “ Day 1”, and the dedicated team here at Hilton Herbs who share both our convictions and our values.

Dry Herbal Supplements Directions for use – Add to feedA measuring scoop is included in every tub or refill bag of our dry herbal supplements and we advise you to allow at least three weeks for complete absorption.

Full ingredients together with directions for use and storage instructions are given on the back of each tub or bag. Dosages as follows:

Mud Defender contains ingredients selected to provide a natural source of: Omega’s 3 & 6, Cysteine the amino acid needed for strong hair, skin and keratin production, B vitamins, bio available sulphur, minerals and trace elements. The supplements natural ingredients also include herbs chosen for their ability to help support the skin’s cellular structure, integrity and natural resistance to mud dwelling bacteria.

Our customers call this book their ‘herbal bible’ and people who have met Hilary say it is like listening to her talk!

Hilary Self is a medical herbalist, a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, and one of Hilton Herbs’ founders. Her experience with the use and application of herbs for animals spans 30 years. She is responsible for all Hilton Herbs formulations and clinical research and has lectured at veterinary and educational seminars around the world.

Dry Herbal FormulationsDirections for useAn appropriate measuring scoop is included in each of our dry herb mix packs. A full ingredients listing plus directions for use and storage are printed on the back of each pack.

Quantities are related to your dog’s body-weight and are as follows:

As a rough guide, when fed at 3 level scoops daily, a 125g bag of our proprietary blends will last approximately 6 weeks, however this can vary slightly depending on the mix.

Always introduce the herbs to your dog’s food very gradually, building up to the full dosage over a period of several days. Remember herbs are a gentle therapy so allow 2–3 weeks for complete absorption of dried herbs.

Note: If possible try and split the daily amount of herbs between two meals. Dogs have a very fast metabolism and by feeding the herbs twice daily the body has a better opportunity to absorb the herbs’ active constituents.

Gold Liquid ProductsDirections for useOur Gold products are made from pure herbal tinctures mixed with Apple Cider Vinegar. Some dog owners may prefer to use the liquid format as it is assimilated faster by the dog’s digestive system and so produces a quicker response.

Some customers may like to start on the liquid product and then switch to the equivalent dry mix for longer term use, which can be more economical. Canine Gold liquid products should be added to your dog’s food and, if possible try, and split the daily amount between two feeds. If your dog is very fussy the Gold products can be syringed into your dog’s mouth.

Our Gold liquid products are packed in easy-to-use, sturdy, plastic bottles with an integrated measuring tank marked from 10ml–25ml. Full ingredients listing with feeding guide and storage recommendations are provided on the label.

Product FormulationHilton cat products are formulated usinga combination of the highest quality 1:3 herbal tinctures blended with sweet-tasting vegetable glycerine for exceptional palatability.

If possible try to give the herbs on an empty stomach, preferably 30 minutes before food to help the body assimilate them more quickly. The product can either be dropped straight into the cat’s mouth, added to a small amount of food or broth, or dropped onto the cat’s paws where he or she will lick it off.

We have had no problem getting cats to take the products using one or other of these methods, even our ferocious farm cat will happily lick it off her paws!

Directions for UseGive 4 drops per 1kg (2.2lb) bodyweight twice daily. This means that each 50 ml bottle will last an average size 4kg (10lb) cat 30 days using 16 drops twice daily.

Damp surface of corn (you can use one of our liquid products) and add a scoop of the dry product to corn. Mix well to cover corn and feed immediately. Please note that an appropriate size scoop is contained in each of our dry products.

Directions for use:You can give our liquid products by one of the following methods.
