Meetings –

Join us Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 1:30 pm, at 1st Jefferson Universalist Church. Our guest Sunday is Betty Ann Ruyle, with her talk entitled “The Numerology within Astrology”. We will discuss the idea of coupling the Numerical influences with the planetary indications and the houses they are in. She has prepared several handouts that should be helpful for members to refer to in the future. The idea is not new and indeed perhaps ancient; we did see the correlation between Numbers and Planetary placements some time ago and encourage Astrologers to consider the influence of numerical indications as it relates to a chart. For example, a Mexican drug lord known by the name of "El Chapo" has recently been in the news.

He reportedly has two different birth dates to choose from...12/25/1954 or 4/7/1957. To one with knowledge of Pythagorean numerology the answer is already clear in the birth date numbers alone, however to an astrologer, with the aid of Pythagorean numerology, the answers can be revealed within the degree placements of the planets. In the 4/7/1957 chart set for around 11 PM you will find a 28 degree Pluto, 13 degree Mars along with an 18 degree Sun that in all describe characteristics of a brutal underworld drug kingpin. A native Texan and Dallasite, Betty Ann’s interest in and study of Astrology began back in the 1960s. Her principal influence was from Isabel Hickey’s book titled “Astrology- A Cosmic Science”. Being a skeptical Scorpio, her original intent was to disprove the science only

to find the science of Astrology to be a tool that was both real and useful. In the 1970’s she furthered her metaphysical studies with a course in mind over matter development called “Alpha Dynamics” taught by the late Jack Bouisseau. This course of study in the mental/metaphysical realm provided the perfect avenue for her Pisces moon to fully develop its psychic talents. In the 1980’s her study of Astrology, psychic research and metaphysics was augmented with a form of Pythagorean numerology developed and taught by the late Marie C. Norris of Fort Worth. With further lessons offered by Ms. Norris’ students Rhavda Emison and Dr. John F. Miller III, Betty Ann began to implement the ancient art developed by Pythagoras in her daily routine. Today she and her husband own and operate a custom picture framing business called the Golden Egg Gallery, located in the uptown district of Dallas, at the corner of McKinney Ave. and Hall St. clientele include former United States Presidents, Chiefs of Staff, and major U.S. Corporations.

ASNT Membership Meeting Minutes

July 12, 2015

Christy Hall called the meeting to order at 1:37 p.m. and welcomed the 17 guests and members who were in attendance. She mentioned that Priscilla had given treasurer reports to the group in the past, but even though she no longer did those, anyone from the group that wanted to view the finances could do so by looking at the monthly report Priscilla always brings to each meeting. Christy held up that month's report showing the group where it could be located. She then welcomed Marvin Sebourn, a visitor, who introduced himself to the group.

Christy confirmed Frank Clifford's workshop for the Spring of 2016 - April 15th, 16th and 17th. She reminded the group that early registration for David Cochrane was available until October 1st.

When Christy opened the floor for announcements Rhavda Emison mentioned that she teaches the numerology technique she would be talking about that day. Anyone wanting to learn more can contact her about classes. Christy announced that the August speaker would be Betty Ann Ruyle, and the September speaker would be herself.

Wayne addressed new changes to website. He then introduced the speaker, Rhavda Emison, who discussed the TicTacToe predictive technique to numerology. A key component to the method involves the definition of the columns and rows. The top row represents mental, the second (middle) spiritual and the third (bottom) physical. The first column (left) represents thought, the second will and the third is action. The meeting ended at 3:07

Respectfully submitted,

Pluto, Pluto, where art thou Pluto? Are you on Kepler 452b?

First he's a planet, then no he's not, now, but on this July 14th, NASA passed a probe around him with the ashes on board Pluto's discoverer, American astronomer Clyde Tombaugh. The spacecraft, called New Horizons, has spent more than nine years traveling to the outer reaches of the solar system. Apparently during this timeframe Pluto got its' downgrade to a dwarf planet, that ever that means. (Be careful NASA, dynamite comes in small packages!!). The verdict now? He's cold, icy and they forgot to pack their ice skates on this trip! We Astrologers know him to be the "Transformation" planet. Apparently so, with the classifications all mumbled up, he's living up to his reputation. If that's not enough news, just nine days later, NASA made another big announcement: Kepler 452b. A planet discovered in another solar system, 60% larger than ours with a 365 day orbit, (sound familiar) with most likely a rocky terrain with the hopes of having incubating life forms since it has the ability. That's pretty major!! No, Southwest Airlines won't be flying there anytime soon, but it will be very interesting to see what is discovered in its solar system and if there are any other parables to ours. Maybe the concept of assigning houses will become more clear (we can hope). The one thing I've learned this year is the subjectivity of this profession. It's worse than my architecture profession! And the more I read for clarity, the more I get mumbled up, just like Pluto. But no matter his designation, I'm fond of him; he cracks the whip at whatever is out of control for the masses, and for the long-haul. Like I said at my first membership meeting as President Elect: the study of houses that Pluto controls and transforms, is what made a believer out of me. It can't possibly be a coincidence. It is so nice to be able to forecast forward to the next Pluto transformational challenge when he strides into the next sign in 2024. We are predicted to have our coastlines flood and crest at the middle of Pluto's long sojourn: the year will be 2032. The next sign is of course Aquarius: The Water Bearer! Any questions?

Making sure a planet is direct and in good aspect for activities represented by their rulership, we find that-

– The Sun happily entertains us with a message of faith, truth, creativity and honor as he proudly disposits Jupiter until the 11th. Sun Qucnx Pluto Aug. 6th, trines Uranus Aug 13th, conj. Venus Aug. 15th, Squares Saturn Aug. 21st, conj. Jupiter Aug. 26th, and ingresses to Virgo August 23rd.

– Enters Virgo Aug. 7, then ingresses to Libra Aug. 27th. – continues retrograde motion this month through Leo, conjuncts Jupiter and sesqsrs Pluto Aug

4th, Squares Saturn Aug 5th, and trines Uranus Aug. 19th. – is much happier August 8th when he moves into Leo. Mars trines Saturn August 6th, Qucnx Neptune

Aug. 22nd, and Qucnx Pluto Aug. 29th. will be in a superior square to Saturn August 3rd while Saturn is at her stationary degree and as

Venus approaches him by retrograde motion. Jupiter will be in a 10th house position to , and so she will strive to Jupiterian values and finally get to work unhindered. Jupiter moves into Virgo on August 11th. Saturn stations and goes direct at 28’17” early August 2nd.

– continues retrograde motion this month at 20” – continues retrograde motion this month 9-8” .

to Leos and Virgos!

Our Solar return charts this month belong to Mary Buckner and myself, and they both have full moons with Sun conjunct Jupiter and Moon conjunct Neptune. Mine is square Saturn. Sun conjunct Jupiter can create a tendency to identify with a teacher/moralist persona, and it is shining on the needs of the moon in Pisces conjunct Neptune. With Mary the Sun Jupiter conjunction is on the Midheaven, which could bring her hidden talents and innate generosity into the public eye. Moon conjunct Neptune can help us to help others through self- sacrifice and compassion, and we will need to work towards realistic

perceptions. It is a good opportunity to learn how to relate to our own and other’s emotions. We will both be working with a yod this year, Neptune sextile Pluto both inconjunct Mars. Although we want to focus more on the nice sextile between Pluto and Neptune, for me wanting to create privately in the home and Mary wanting to work on transportation/learning, our reveries/activities will be interrupted by Mars activities and necessities.
